Be Careful and Read the Fine Print

Read More: Discipline

This is just a little reminder for those of you not in the "know."  Be careful for what you sign up for.  Read the "Terms of Service" and or "Service Aggreement" before you agree to become a member of something.  Sure, there are a lot of sites/programs that are enticing to sign up for.  Just know what you're getting yourself into.  To add to this point, be aware of the stipulation that if you become a member, your inbox may and or will be flooded with email advertisements from other members promoting their programs.  I'm not talking about just a few a day.  No, I'm talking about a dozen or more finding their way into you inbox.  Why?  Just so you can get credits when you open them up and click on a certain link?  Come on now.  I know first hand of this experience.  Although I will not point the finger to said sites, there are a handful out there that this occurs.  One, I have declared permanent vacation status on until they finally delete me.  Another, I'm fixing to unsubscribe from, and several others I caught before I actually submitted to.

If you like getting lots of emails, then I apologize and you can disregard this warning.  However, if you come home one day and find that a flood has hit your email account and you have 150 new emails for that day, don't blame me when you exclaim, "What the...?!!!"

Now I know that occasionally, you'll find something really good out of these emails.  After several months, however, it becomes the same ole gibberish.  You get tired and wonder why can't this end.  It can.  Just do yourself a favor and UNSUBSCRIBE.  It's that easy.
