Birds of the Same Feather.... Are The Same Birds!

Doesn't it make sense? Seriously?

No?

Ok I'll explain that a bit further in terms of network marketing events. Let's say that you got invited by MLM Company X to attend a business party where their company will present their business opportunity. Other MLM Companies will be there as well. They are saying that this is a big event and that you should come so that you see how different their company is.

You came. MLM Company X reserved a seat for you. You sat with them on a round table. You noticed that you are in the right company because all of the name tags have "MLM Company X" below their names. They introduce themselves. They start talking to you, you start talking back. Then everyone on that table starts to make some noise because MLM Company X representative is being called at the stage to present their opportunity. "Hooray!", "Woohoo!", "We are the best!" Wow! These people are obviously excited. And you think it would be a good idea to join them as well...

NOT!

You see, events give you the chance to build relationships. Not to instantly recruit people. Does it make sense now?

Birds of the same feather, flock together.... maybe that makes sense? No?

Let me tell you then... those members of MLM Company X... or any MLM Company on that event are doing it wrong. In events like such, what you want to do is separate your group and have them "talk to other people". Even if it means "talking to people from another MLM Company".

Why? Because:

1. You'll never know when someone is looking for another opportunity unless you talk to them. If you separate yourself from the group during events, you have the edge of recruiting a leader that's almost ready to quit his current MLM company. You have a chance there. Get that person's business card at the end of the party, then set a time to talk to them and know them on a personal level.

2. You want to know how things are on another MLM company. You want to know how you can position yourself as a leader and get yourself another loyal follower in the future. Again collect business cards from the people that you talk to.

3. Parties are meant for knowing people. Build relationships. Build partnership. Discover leaders and get tips. Give tips...

Give tips... although I am telling you, this is what most Network Marketers don't want to do. They're selfish... they think teaching another person from a different MLM Company is treachery. Wow! Like they have the ultimate secret in recruiting and selling. Take a look around... where are they now... who are they to other people? where are their followers? Do they deserve your attention?

I.

Don't.

Think.

So.

How is their company so different when all of the MLM Companies out there sit on one table? They group themselves like zombies praising their own MLM Company. Don't group yourselves.... spread out! You're rejecting other people when you group together. Other people will feel rejected because you stick together like you're some mafia group or something.

Do what most people don't! That's the key to positioning yourself as a leader. The next time you attend events like that, wear a name tag with your name only. If you want you can put "Entrepreneur" below your name. That alone will attract other people to you... just because you're different in the crowd. Just make sure to back that up when you speak. Be a true business man... build a relationship during parties.... you don't slap people with your sales pitch.

Do you get it now?
