Business is like WAR!

...And Peace?

Too often, I've witnessed people who start off "gung-ho" in their business... only to falter and, ultimately, quit.

I'm not going to tell you it doesn't bother me!

And it's tempting to wonder, "Why does this happen? Why would people give up on their dreams?"

Well, maybe their dreams just weren't important enough for them :(

If only they knew how simple it really is!

(Notice I didn't say easy?)

So, what does it take to succeed in business?

You've got to do a little bit, everyday, to move your business forward.

It takes consistency to get results!

==> Let me give you an example:

One time, a few years ago, I decided I was going to read Tolstoy's War and Peace.

Why? I don't know, I was reading a bunch of the classics and I'd always heard that this was one of the best.

And it definitely presented a challenge! I mean, that is one thick book... Not many are longer (except the Bible, maybe ;)

So, how did I manage to read that bad boy?

Simple, I read a chapter everyday.

And you know what? To this day, it's one of my all-time favorites... and I look back on that time with some fond memories because I became so immersed in the story and the characters.

Now, we're going to bring this back to Network Marketing and how I've applied this strategy to this blog and my business...

==>What got me thinking about this was a question I was asked on Facebook the other day. Here's an excerpt:

"...I've been blogging about the same time as Dwayne Huggins and I see his and your blog are very popular, while mine is languishing in obscurity.

I do post regularly and submit to article directories and have done videos to promote them.

I would love to get it to the same level of traffic as you guys do.

I would appreciate any advice..."

And here's my advice, which is what I happen to do consistently, everyday, to get oodles of traffic:

"...OK, I'll tell you some things that I regularly do and we'll see if that helps...

That's really it. Pretty soon here I'll be using PPC to REALLY kill it -- but that's only 'cause I've created my own funded proposal system.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Sincerely,
Derek

Simple as reading War and Peace...

Reading Is War

Hey Derek,

I decided to read War and Peace while in Iraq believe it or not. That was one big challenge. Carrying the book was not really feasible for me, because I already had the bible and a couple of medical reference books I needed to keep with me. So a friend of mine back home emailed me photo copies of the entire book one chapter at a time.

In the process he read the book too. It was a great experience for both of us. Of course I had to cram 3 to 4 chapters at a time when I got to an internet connection. But I am certainly glad I did it.

Thanks for the mention, I also read every post you put out. Though with my schedule, much like War and Peace, I have to read several at one time.

I think it says a lot for the value you provide though, that I always catch up, instead of just reading the latest material.

Mental War!

Awesome Article!

What you do everyday is going to move you closer than what when on yesterday. So the consistent activities are very important to succeed.

Solid Daily Plan

Hey Derek,

I like the way you shared with us your daily plan, it may seem simple but it is the simple consistent things that make the "big" differences.

Appreciate the post my friend.

Thanks guys

@Chris, You always have the best stories! Thanks for sharing that with us, man.

@Josh, You are one of the most consistent people I know (and you've been getting great results because of it).

@Wayne, Glad you liked it -- I also see you being extremely consistent and your writing style is definitely consistent, too.
