Do These 3 Things Daily and You WILL Succeed!
You’ve probably heard it said before that success is not a destination, it’s a journey. What does this mean? Well, success means something different to each and every person. I can guarantee that my meaning of success doesn’t match up to your meaning of it. My meaning of success is the following:
Maintain a healthy mind, body and soul through consistent fitness, nutrition and personal development and bring value to the world through the use of my talents, skills and passions in a way that allows me to enjoy time and financial freedom.
This is simple but powerful for me. Some people define success by how much money they make, the car they drive, the clothes they wear, how popular they are and so on. There is nothing wrong with this as long as you are doing it for you and not to “impress” others. If you are only seeking high approval from others, can you really call it success? My opinion says absolutely not!
Success is definitely a journey that will lead you down many roads before you arrive at your destination. In fact, success is a life long journey and if you don’t stay focused, you will fall off the success wagon even if you think you are “set for life.”
The following 3 things will help you to enjoy a life of success
1. Personal Development
This is probably the most important thing you can do in your life to make sure you are becoming the person worthy of success. Personal development ensures that you are constantly feeding your mind valuable information that can make you nearly invincible to critics, pessimists and those who will try to tear you down. When you consistently enroll yourself in life-altering personal development courses, you will naturally become a better person so that you can have a better life.
The key to personal development is to do it consistently. Keep in mind that you don’t have to take drastic measures with this. Reading 10 pages per day of a good, uplifting book can keep you focused and allow you to expand your knowledge and skill set. Likewise, listening to 15 minutes of a self-development audio program every day on your way to work will give you the edge you need to push through hard times and continue on with your goals and dreams. Obviously, most people won’t do these simple things or there would be less pessimistic people and more happy, successful people in the world.
2. Health & Fitness
Your outer self is simply a reflection of your inner self. If you are living a life of negativity and turmoil, it is most likely showing in your health. People who do not take advantage of the first step above will most likely fail to take care of themselves with proper fitness and nutrition. If you are not healthy and in shape, you will NOT be able to achieve maximum results! Being healthy will help you in so many ways it's unbelievable that people won't take care of themselves. Besides the fact that eating healthy and exercising daily will help your mind and body to function better, the results you gain will have you looking fabulous!
When you begin to feel good on the inside from proper fitness & nutrition, you will begin to look better on the outside. Looking better on the outside increases your self-confidence, self-esteem and allows you to do things you never thought you could do before. You'll have energy beyond what you could have ever imagined.
3. Set Goals
Goals are extremely important because they set out a road map for you to follow. Many people do not understand the value in having worthwhile goals and continue to drift along lost and confused. People do this everyday with minor things in normal life but fail to do it with what really matters. For example, people plan vacations, make dinner plans, make plans for the perfect wedding and all sorts of other "small" things but won't take the time necessary to plan for their lives and the specifics of what they will accomplish and when they will do it. They go through life hoping that everything will turn out the way they want it to, and if it doesn't then they simply settle for whatever life gives them.
You must have goals if you expect to reach your destination. Having clearly defined goals and a plan for achieving them allows you to focus on doing what is necessary to reach them.
Success is not nearly as hard as some make it seem. People act as if you have to be born into the right family, be lucky or have lots of money to start with. None of these are necessary! Anyone can be successful if they choose to be. Being successful takes no more time or energy than being unsuccessful. Be cautious of what you do on a daily basis because daily activities become habits, habits become lifestyle and your lifestyle will determine your happiness. If you want to be happy and successful, take action. It's totally up to YOU!
