It started over 200 years ago.  A brave group of men, after several meetings and letters exchanging ideas and aspirations, decided to declare our country's independence from England.  Do we really understand what these men did?  They signed their death warrants!
These men just told the ruler of the most powerful country in the world that they were no longer going to honor him or England's ownership of these thirteen colonies.  

They were not crazy.  They were not stupid.  They were just fed up!  The colonies were being taxed and were not allowed representation.  They had no say in their future.
