How To Start Your Business Right In 2010

Read More: Discipline

They say 2010 is the most punishing year for everyone because we'll be facing a lot of employment and financial problems. Almost everyone is just skeptic about what 2010 will bring. I say we turn that negative thinking into something positive. So let's build business right starting today. It doesn't matter if you already have a successful business, still building the business or just starting out. Let's practice a good habit and you'll surely be ahead of others. I have some tips to share with you, but before I do that I'd like you to get a pen and paper and take down notes. Use these tips to position yourself and be perceived as a leader.

Surprisingly, the tips that I am about to share with you are simple. What's more surprising... only a few people actually do these. That's why I asked you to get a pen and paper. I want you to practice these tips and form a new habit in your life. I'm not forcing you to do them of course, but wouldn't it be great if you just practice good business building habits starting today? If you choose to do them, excellent! If not,  well the least that I'm hoping for is that you had a good read here today. If you are ready for the tips, here they are:

1. Write down one skill that you want to learn and master this year.

2. Allot a specific time for studying this one skill. Let's say you want to study the skill at 10:30am everyday except for Sundays. This gives you something to look forward to everyday. An hour of study most of the time will do.

3. Determine how you can help people get what they want through this new skill that you are learning.

4. Jot down how much profit you want your new skill brings you every month. You want to write down a specific amount. Let's say $2,500 a month. Saying you want to earn a million is just too vague. What you want is to target a more realistic figure.

5. Once you started to make profits from this new skill, save some of those profits for further investing. You may choose to invest to further this new skill that you acquired or you may choose to learn another new skill.

6. List down the people you want to impart your knowledge to. Teaching what you just learned enhances your learning process. And you get the benefit of being perceived as a leader.

Bonus Tip: In building a business, it is important that you help other people get what they want first. If you'll be successful with that, getting what you want becomes a lot easier.
