Lessons Learned The Hard Way....OR NOT!!!
Read More: SO. For any one not in the loop iLearning Global is shutting down. They just can not be competitive any longer.
Why …Their product. Quite simply they want you to pay for learning materials that with a little research , you can get for free. Ooops, I believe that this has something to do having a 5 Pillar Company. More on that later.
Now, I would like for this article to be for EVERYONE not just those that have been screwed by their company simply because they either did not read their Policies & Procedures or, like a friend of mine, just flat out chose to ignore them.
See he and I were talking back and forth through a chat, and he is, rather WAS in iLearning Global, and I pointed out paragraph 5.2 I think it was where they can terminate for ANY reason with a 30 day notice. His reply was, they would never do anything like that because he knew the owners, had lunch with them and even play golf , or something. I wished him luck….and now he got his 30 day notice.
I know everyone loves the company they are in or you would not be in it, BUT. And I can not say this often enough, READ YOUR POLICIES & PROCEDURES. They have everything in there for a reason. Are you willing to take a chance on your future?
Now back to those that were politely dumped by their company , I know you are getting slammed left and right with “I am So Sorry….Join Me!!!” crap.
Now….if all you do is jump into what you think is “ The Better Deal” then you have learned nothing from your recent experience, HAVE YOU? You need to research your next company before you jump right in so you can avoid having this happen again….unless this is your idea of fun.
You know, when you buy a house you have it inspected first. When you hire a contractor you get references. I am a gardener, so before I order flowers I have to make sure they will grow where I live. Kinda simple stuff, don’t ya think?
So why, why , why, why, would you even think of putting your financial circumstances in jeopardy by not taking just a little bit of time to research the company you plan on being with. It’s simple….READ. What’s that saying…..”Look Before You Leap”
So, no matter if you have been discarded from your company like iLearning and Oh Yea, iNetGlobal also, the Secret Service took them down, Or you are in love with the company your in, just go spend 5 minutes or so and read your Policies & Procedures and see if they are protecting you or the company. And by the way, if it takes any longer than that to read, your in trouble.
Remember, this is not about getting you into a "DEAL". It is about getting you trained so you can think for yourself.

Check the Market and timing in the Industry
This company was doomed from the start, for the reasons stated above. Had anyone learned the 5 Pillars and taken the time to evaluate, they would have saved themselves much time and expense, and the emotional devastation. When you put emotions into the business plan, you shut out common sense and logic.
Truth be known, it could happen to anyone, but...
...for some the odds are verrrrry low and for others pretty darn high. What's the difference? The odds are very low for those who make their choice of company by applying critical thinking (not emotion) to the selection task. Evaluate the company/opportunity based on statistically sound evidence. Historically, did most companies with this or that characteristic fail or prosper? Falling for hype and glitz or just LOVING the product just isn't a smart way to choose. How the heck do I know? Been there, done that. Won't make THAT mistake again. ;-)

Every company has the option to pull the plug no matter what is printed. The power is all in their hands. EVERY company. Makes a really good case for not putting your eggs all in one basket because you love the owners, you've had lunch with them, they are good people. Crap can happen to anyone including owners of companies. Putting the responsibility for your success in another person's hands is pure folly.
Reading your Contract is Paramount!

Wow, Zelphina, you are giving it to us straight up! It would be terrible to build a business and have it pulled out from underneath you. You are so right, before buying other stuff we research. Our Future Depends On Accurate Information~
Zelphina, it breaks my heart to know that there are thousands of people whose dreams have been flushed down the toilet. I have such a hard time understanding why if a person gets into network marketing to make a serious residual income, why do they not treat it like such? If I were to invest $500,000 into a traditional business venture, I would be insane not to have my contract reviewed by an attorney. Yet people jump into network marketing venturing to make thousands of dollars residual and they don't even read their own legal contract... Wow, thanks for opening peoples' eyes to the reality of what is going on and I pray that people will learn from this!

Zephina, great article. People need to learn their policies and procedures and know what is the right company too choose by using a 5 pillar company. Its great information for network marketers to know. I agree with Paul Murphy. People join companies most time out of excitement and hype, which is an emotion, they should use their common sense.
