Please tell me you're joking...
I feel like I've been hit with a sledgehammer this past week. This may not be the best written article out there, but it's coming straight from the heart. I'm sick and tired of hearing about hundreds of thousands of people entering this industry every day, and knowing that only about 3% of them will ever make a decent check.
No big deal for the 3% who make the big bucks... they'll continue to make more. But for the 97% who struggle day after day, maxing out their cards trying to build the dream? It can be pure HELL.
We all know the truth- it's staring us in the face every day.
Attrition. Can't duplicate. "Greener grass" elsewhere. No system. Etc. etc. etc. But are these the real problems? No... and HECK no.
What's your approach when someone on your team is struggling?
Give 'em another 'rah-rah' speech, and hook them up with yet another "tool"?
There's a huge missing piece in all this. Sure, some leaders can go out and sponsor another person for everyone that drops out. But most of your team can't.
Why can't they? Because they don't have their mind right, and they don't even know it. So they plug along, and struggle even more and get even more and more frustrated, more and more broke, and end up quitting.
No big deal, right? They just didn't have what it takes, right? I'll just find someone else, right? ENOUGH.
The only way the 3% of us who are successful are going to continue to be successful is if we help MORE of the 97% be successful. Period. End of story.
So how do we do that? Hold yet another "conference call" or hour-long "webinar" to pump 'em up? (who has time for all those??)
Have them spend more money on yet another great "system"?
Relax, I know there's a place for conference calls, webinars and systems. Don't get a bee in your bonnet.
But they are NOT the answer!
I don't care how good your comp plan is, how many patents your product has, or how big your master rep's 4th home is...
NONE of that matters if your team doesn't have their mind right. And the scary thing is, you and they may not even have a clue that it's not right! They may say and do all the right things, and still nothing happens.
Why not?
Here's the key: If your team is not working daily on their "Inner World", not a dang thing is going to change with their "Outer World".
It is a 100% guaranteed waste of time to try and change the fruits... without first changing the roots.
I don't care how cheesy or hokey this sounds. I'd rather be rich and hokey than "cool and broke".
I'd rather have a rich, hokey TEAM, than constantly trying to re-build a cool, broke "team".
If you agree with even a little bit of what I said...
If you consider yourself even a little bit of a true leader...
If you're serious about "helping others get what they want first", knowing that's the best way to get what you want...
