Simple & Easy: Setting a Time Limit While Browsing

Read More: Discipline

This article is continuing off yesterday’s post about fighting online distractions.  I stumbled upon a new website that YOU can put a time limit on how long you want to stay on that web site for.  Get more done by giving each task a finite duration. Simply choose a number of minutes and a website or search, and enter them in your browser address.

It’s a single-use web utility called x.minutes.at and puts a timed limit on any browser tab.  Let’s say you have 10 minutes to browse NeilTantay.com but you don’t want that ten minutes to turn into 30?  Visit http://10.minutes.at/neiltantay.com.  This works for any website!

There are 3 different intervals to choose from:  Just type in the following into your browser

5.minutes.at/(insert website here)
10.minutes.at/(insert website here)
15.minutes.at/(insert website here)

Visit their website at http://minutes.at

Once your time is up at the website you’re browsing at, you’ll see a time’s up alert.  This is a simple yet powerful tool that you can add to your arsenal to keep you on track and staying productive throughout the day.  If you find this tool helpful, please feel free to retweet it by clicking on the tweet button and sharing this post on your Facebook so all your friends can benefit from it.
