Fear of Failure

 In order to succeed you have got to try hard and risk failure.  Failure?  Nobody wants to fail. That  is a scary spirit in the universe right now.  It is the spirit of fear.  People are afraid.  They are afraid of losing their jobs.  They are afraid of losing their homes, their cars, their things and their comfortable way of life.  They are afraid of change and they don't know what to do.  Many people take failure and loss personally as a character flaw.  They consider job loss and the loss of things as personal failure. That is a very dangerous mindset to have because it paralyzes your psychy and makes you feel like you are helpless and powerless.  Let's look at things another way.

Look at yourself first and realize that these losses and failures that you are experiencing are a changes of circumstances and changes of  situations.  You are still the same person you always were.  You haven't changed.  So take a breath and realize that whatever has happened hasn't caused the world to come to an end and situations and circumstances can be dealt with in positive ways.  Realize that you are a person of integrity, honesty, honor, and professionalism and you have always been an asset to any business  that you were associated with and you still are.  You must know that you have a lot to offer if you intend to sell yourself to the world.  Next ,you have got to be aware of your skills and the abilities that you have to offer the work world.  If you had a good job or a successful business then you are a good candidate for new one. 

Look at you:  If you were competant enough to get one job then you can get another one.  If you were able to purchase a car, a house or anything else then you can do it again. You have got to reach down inside your spirit and look your fears dead in the face and be determined to defeat those demon spirits.  I read a tweet that said Fear of failure causes people to refuse to even try.  That is a terrible mindset.  What happened to that old childhood saying, "If at first you don't succeed, try ,try again.  If one person tells you no; then ask and keep asking until you get the help or advice that you need.  Believe in your skills, but if you don't feel like they are strong enough,: then get some skills you can believe in.  Believe in your contacts:  but if they aren't able to help you get where you want to go,then network with some other groups which are more in line with your plan of progress.  You can't sit still and do nothing' out of fear, because that posture will get you nowhere fast.  Brainstorm and do all you can do so that you are prepared when an opportunity presents itself.  Don't be afraid to try something new or different and don't fear failure,  Get out there and try. Success isn't going to come knocking on your door looking for you.  You have got to meet success in the trenches but you have got to compete, try hard  and even risk failure in order to succeed.
