Have fun

One of the most critical elements required to be successful in your business is to make sure you have FUN.  Your business is very serious, and it shouldn't be approached any other way, but you need to have fun while you're working it.  Speaking in a serious, monotone voice turns people off. 

When you communicate your excitement and demonstrate your skills at the same time making it fun, others will want to be around you.  All of us have our ups & downs in this industry, but it is important that you never lose focus.  Having an attitude that focuses on the positive and doesn't allow any negatives to steer them off course is vital.  This also positions you as a leader to train and develop others.  This leads to duplication.

I remember listening to a friend who is a long time networker recall his "early days" in business and he mentioned some of his experiences.  As he shared his experiences, we laughed so hard at them, but one constant remained steady - his focus on having fun.  Success was very important to him and today he earns $58,000 per month. 

So be excited, make sure you're having fun at what you're doing.  If not, perhaps you need to find something else to do where you can have fun.  As the Joker in the Dark Knight said "Why so serious?"
