How To Be Successful: The Simple Truth
It really is simple…
There’s one fundamental Truth that, if not embraced, will be your Achilles’ Heel.
Stated plainly, your success is up to YOU. (told you it was simple )
That might seem pretty obvious, so let me explain…
Until you’re willing to accept the fact that there is no magic bullet…
no tool, company, system or person…that’s the answer to your business challenges,
you will continue to struggle.
Period.
I know. I’ve been there.
Sure I did the work, I put in the time and did what I was told.
I had success, but it seemed there was always another new, shiny object
that caught my attention.
Sometimes it was a person/training program. Other times it was a marketing
system. And let’s not forget the “magic ad” or the “headline that works”…
All that sutff helps and can work, but the bottom line is that it wasn’t the
trainers, programs, systems or headlines.
What mattered was me.
I was always looking for something to make it easier, faster or bigger with
little or no effort on my part.
I invested lots of time and money trying to find a “plug and play” way to riches.
And in today’s market, it seems every time you turn around there’s someone launching
something or pre-launching something…or launching something that’s the pre-launch
to something they’re going to launch.
We’re surrounded by shiny objects that can quickly and easily leave us sitting all
alone with no money left to run the business we were so excited about just a short
time ago.
So what’s the answer?
Get ready…I’m gonna use some unpopular concepts here…
Study, learn, apply.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Study the industry. Study successful people, past and present, from all walks of life
and you’ll notice common characteristics. Find out what they did BEFORE they were
successful. Like the saying goes, “Success leaves clues.”
Study the principles of marketing, the psychology of what moves people to want to buy
from you and what that infomercial guy just did to trigger you to pick up the phone.
Learn the skills, master the techniques and tools you need, and then…
CONSISTENTLY APPLY what you’re learning. Be willing to make changes when and where necessary.
Push your own envelope and expand your comfort zone by learning and implementing a new
skill, technique or thought process.
And don’t expect to make $10,000/month your first 3 – 6 months. Very few do, and many who
were on top a short time ago are nowhere to be found now. Truth.
Better to learn how to consistently earn $100/month first…then increase it to $1000,
then $2500, etc.
Face it. To reach the top in any profession, you must study and acquire the knowledge
and skills needed. Who among us would want a dentist or surgeon who was stumbling
through trying to figure out what worked?
Yet that seems to be an acceptable, common practice in our industry!
Putting in time and effort may seem like an unnecessary form of drudgery, at least initially,
but you’ll find that in the long run, you’ll become the person you were meant to be
AND have the business that you’ve always dreamed of.

Principles of Success
Thanks Kathie. This is great reminder that if I put into practice the things that I have learned, then I will eventually be successful. If I learn to "double my rate of failure" as stated by the founder of IBM, Tom Watson, then I will eventually be successful.
The Simple Truth of Success
So true Cathie. Success principles are quite simple. When we put the same marketing psychology that moves us to click on the shiny object into consistent action we show up in front of those looking for us. Thanks for your great reminders!
Intelligent Article
This is an intelligent article. We must also be good at building relationships because the people whom we bring in want to know if we are the ones who will be of any help. They will not be working with the company owner they do not care how rich he is. All they care about is who will help them be successful in building their empire. The person who is confident in his skills and is able to build the strongest relationship with the client wins.

Thank You
Thanks Cathie for your simple (yet challenging) straight forward answer. And most likely this is the very reason why only approx 3% make it anywhere near the top because at time it takes sheer hard work. Thanks again :)
