How Can I Serve You?

Greetings to all my friends and the Better Networker Community!
As the ThanksGiving holiday approaches this week, I've been thinking a lot about what it means to me to have been given the title of "instructor" here at BetterNetworker.
In fact, there's been a lot of talk lately in the forum focused around the BN instructors.
Some good, some bad.
As an instructor I take that position quite seriously and try my hardest not to abuse it and to also provide as much quality input and valuable content as I can.
Most of my time here on BN is spent in the forums; where the bulk of the community interaction takes place. And while I do post articles and so forth, I simply prefer interacting with everyone and engaging in the conversation in the forums.
So with that in mind, I'd like to ask you all a question if I may:
How Can I Serve You Better?
How Can I Do a Better Job As An Instructor?
And here's the thing ...
Please be completely honest with your comments and feedback.
If you think I've done a terrible job, let me hear it.
If there's something in particular you'd like to learn, let's hear it.
What ever it may be, I really want to hear what the community needs.
And more so I want to help fill the void and increase the value you get from your time here on Better Networker.
I hope that you and your family and loved ones have a wonderful holiday filled with love and peace and joy shared with each other.
Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
~Richard
PS: I will be watching this page and responding to everyone that comments.
Thanks for your time.

You are doing a marvelous job!
...and I really mean it, Richard.
I always like reading your comments because you give very valuable feedback and if you criticize it's constructive and given in a manner that is very polite and won't hurt anyone's feelings.
Keep it up, you're doing great!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well!
Ilka
You are doing well here
And I mean it. You are doing well here on the BN. I look forward to your comments and thoughts. You are the expert and I listen to you and what you have to say. It may sound like I disagree with you, but I have to question everything to learn more. Keep monitoring this site, I wish you a happy Thanksgiving!
Thank You
Ilka and Mario ... thank you both for your kind feedback - I really appreciate it. My goal here is to make sure the community is getting what they need in the way of instruction and empowering knowledge.
So is there anything specific you'd like to see covered in the way of a tutorial or a more in depth series perhaps?
More suggestions
I am learning a lot on the BN. I have questions that I hope are being address in a timely manner. Some things or procedures I'm still not familiar with. But in time I will learn them. Your articles does help me to understand a lot here. For one, writing articles is an accomplished skill. We are in the same field and I am learning how to address my market better to help themselves in living a better life. Thanks again!
Keep Moving Forward Mario ...
Hey Mario ... Keep Moving Forward!
You're on the right path man. Just keep growing yourself.
Investing in your yourself and constantly increasing your knowledge base and acquiring new skills will pay off like nothing else.
For an in-depth writing tutorial I highly recommend the Copywriters Guild program.
This is an awesome course available through Magnetic. If you need a link let me know.
Read Dan Kennedy's "Ultimate Sales Letter" ,
Check out these sites: copyblogger.com and bensettle.com
Those resources + lots of practice will give you plenty to get you up to speed as a competent writer.
Cheers!

Thanks Richard... A couple thoughts...
I used to be active here in 2008 and beginning of 09. Things got busy and I lost touch. But I really liked my time here, and think this is a great place to connect with others, learn more about what kind of value people are sharing and put one's ear to the ground.
I've made many great relationships because of this platform. Including you Richard. And I've gained insight from other leaders about a lot of different things from information about compensation plans, to mindset, to SEO and a lot of different things within that range.
This place is a great place for a smart beginner to hone his craft, learn his voice and raise himself or herself up. It's a great place to ask honest questions, seek more information and move oneself from point a to point b.
This place will struggle to a certain extent because the lowest common denominator rules. So all the fakes, impostors and "you just don't get it" people will always muck things up with their pretend posturing, run around pitching and low to no value content creation.
I've been lurking around here for about a week. Just listening. And from what I can tell is that the biggest difference I can tell is that the "Cohort of Leadership" is missing. Richard you cannot do it all alone. It takes a band of leaders. I'm not seeing the band. I'm seeing solo leaders here and there, but not a group who lead and protect this place by example (like how it used to be). But I understand why the leaders leave and move on.
So here are my questions:
1. Who are the smart beginners that are poised to be the next leaders? Seriously Richard, you're a leader who spends time here and should know. Point them out and promote them. You do a great job of promoting people. Identify the up and comers.
2. Can these smart beginners who are poised to be the next leaders come together to form a band that leads by example and protects this place from the encroachment of the lowest common denominator?
3. In your opinion, if a new Cohort of Leaders was formed what would they need to do first to make BetterNetworker a better place?
My advice for BetterNetworkers from what I've seen in my short time of being back and looking around:
Have a vested interest. Care about what you do and how you do it and feel a sense of responsibility for your efforts. That's value.
Get a sense for the history of this place and focus to be aware of the norms of your fellow community members.
Know the community. Be mindful of the values, intent and purpose for BetterNetworker (and attitudes of the community therein).
Finally implement change where it's needed. Be where the action is and in a position to initiate positive change on the basis of need.
I realize that these are only big words from a dude who hasn't been here in a year or so, but that is what I see. I'll have to follow my own words because I'd like to return here and "walk the walk."
Thanks Richard,
Eric Walker
Keep it up!
All I can say is, continue to do what you already are doing. You already know how to be a very profitable individual so keep up the good stuff! ;)
Thank You Richard
I appreciate the things you do here and the great information you are always willing to share. You will always be courteous and kind until someone "ruffles you feathers" then you will set them straight, but in a very constructive way. I get the impression you will do anything to help somebody but will also "kick them to the curb" if need be...but in such a way they still like you...go figure!
I am also curious about some of the things that Eric is asking and talking about above.
Great to See A Home Grown Instructor
Richard,
Whatever you do, here on BN or anyplace else, it's always honest, refreshing and truthful advice, given from the heart. I have no doubt any content you post as an instructor here will be no different.
I haven't been active here for a while. Like a lot of folks I guess things change and we move on and don't always keep up with old friends like we should. But I am so chuffed to see that your skills and knowledge have been acknowledged.
Any wordpress instruction will go down well with me btw. I'm a positive geek compared to what I used to be, but I still have a long way to go. :)
