The Power of Love, Romance & Physical Oneness

Read More: Personal Development

Moments ago I read a Facebook Status written by a teen-age girl who had just come home from special date with a young man.  She was expressing to the entire world how glorious her evening had been. Young love in bloom.

Chapter 11 of Think & Grow Rich states that people seldom succeed before age 40. There are obviously exceptions to that generalization, but that thought should certainly gives millions of people hope. The sexual drive is more frequently satisfied through physical expression during the younger years. As a person moves through life, that drive can be harnessed and transmuted into creative actions that can result in genius and wealth.

Napoleon Hill goes on to talk about the power of Personal Magnetism.  We know that there are people who have great sex appeal. Walk into a room and you can soon see those who emit a greater energy, even without speaking. They are magnetic!  When I’m around people like that, it gives me energy.  No wonder these individuals make great salespeople. Contrast this with individuals who have little vibration about them. They seem flat and without purpose. I feel drained when I’m around this type of person.

The most incredible part of this chapter is in the discussion of the power of Love, Romance, and Physical Oneness. When all three are present, the person can be lifted to an altitude of a Genius.

My in-laws, Othur and Louise, were married for 68 years. Each Anniversary was meticulously remembered, often with a photo in the newspaper. My husband was born on their 2nd Anniversary, and his Birthday celebrations were always Anniversary celebrations as well.

They were more devoted to one another than any couple I’ve ever known. My father-in-law went through major bypass surgery over 30 years ago. For many years he has had less than 20% blood flow, yet his love for his wife, gave him the Genius and the Strength to care for her around the clock for the last 10 years.  He researched every drug she took over the internet. He knew how to manage her diabetes and arthritic pain, better than her doctors.

He never left her side. Even when she was dying from congestive heart failure, he was by her bedside, holding her hand, speaking words of love to her. It was the fulfillment of the wedding vows he had declared to her 68 years before.

During the days when we were preparing for her funeral, my father-in-law brought out a stack of love letters they had written to one another while he served in World War II.  Each letter is in its original envelope lined up in a shoebox.  Words of endearment written long ago but never forgotten. The power of their love and oneness fueled his strength beyond any doctor’s wildest predictions. My father-in-law awaits the day when he’ll be reunited with his bride.

He has LIVED the power of this chapter’s message.

Love is Great

Love develops over time. At first, before the wedding, often time is just passion; getting to know each other, hormones exploding. Wedding and honeymoon can be mixed with stress and pressure and details, then we settle in for a few years. Some more years than others. Marion and I are coming up to anniversary 39. Where has the time go? Our pics are in our gallery and am adding some daily as I squeeze them in. Come on back and see Marions' garden.
