There are many ways that individuals have used to successfully build various network or direct marketing companies or downlines over the years. Even traditional brick and mortar businesses have been successfully built using various techniques. There is a common saying that states that, “There is more than one way to skin a cat”. This just means that there is more than one way to get the job done. My rebuttal to that would be show me the way that would make the process far less painful for me and the cat meaning show me the way that will cause less headache and stress for all parties involved. There is a recent wave that you see all over the internet now called attraction marketing.

 
Attraction marketing to sum it up is basically the ability of an individual or company to attract targeted leads and prospects through the process of building a relationship by providing value that the prospects can use or need. To be honest with you attraction marketing has been going on since the beginning of time whether through business or person to person interaction. I remember working the family business when I was younger and it amazed me the interaction my father had with clients and this was not selling hot dogs on the corner where people will buy from you for the fact that they are hungry. The company was a wholesale distribution company and he took attraction marketing to the next level by constantly providing value with integrity on a daily basis to his clients. Over the past 10 years network marketing has changed in fact the whole business environment has changed and become more and more competitive. You have to do something to stand out but what I am seeing is that people want the gold but don’t want to put in the work to dig for it.
 
If You Are Doing These Four Things Stop It Now!
 
Not Being Genuine-I personally despise the statement, “Fake It until You Make It”. I say, ”Work Hard to Make It So That You Will Not Have to Fake It”. People can sense something that is not genuine whether you choose to market your network marketing business offline, online, or both. Taking pictures in front of luxury cars or in front of houses that are not yours will not attract serious leads into your home based business it might get you arrested for trespassing or tampering with property. Telling stories that are not true such as, “I was once homeless but now I own a mansion in Beverly Hills” when you are from a well to do background gets you nowhere. The point is being genuine and honest will attract you genuine and honest people that will help build your network or direct marketing business with integrity.
 
Over Inflated Statements and False Promises- I see stuff all the time like ”Earn 500k in your MLM in 6 months”, “Get A Million Network Marketing Leads in 12 months” and there are many more. The prospects you usually get from headlines like that are those who are ready to go on a scamming spree all over the net and will quit and call you a scam. Make statements such as, “Learn how to Generate 20-50 Leads daily in the next 3-6 months”, “Would having a few extra thousand dollars monthly help with your mortgage”. Statements such as those are more realistic and will attract better targeted leads into your primary network, direct, or internet marketing business. 
 
No Originality (Being A Copycat)- I remember growing up and one of the things that would irritate me in a house with 5 siblings is when one of them would copy and mock everything you said to work my nerves. Never ever copy someone else article, headline, website, or other content without there permission. Doing that is like you are mocking them. Nothing wrong with using that content as a based for what you are trying to accomplish but put it in your own words using your own style. People are attracted to people therefore you must make yourself stand out.
 
Seeming Desperate-Desperate marketers jump from one network or direct marketing to another, jumping on one pre-launch to the next. A good rule of thumb is to have one primary network marketing company you work with and a simple system that you can use to market and brand you and that you can plug any company into it. Start with one company or at the most two if you want to have a higher cost entry point and than a lower cost entry point and once you have mastered the business of getting targeted leads than you can take on other ventures. But no one wants to see you involved with 10 different companies than you seem unorganized and desperate to your prospects and that is definitely unattractive.
 
To sum it up it you want to take your network or direct marketing business to another level using attraction marketing, be genuine and honest, make realistic claims backed with proof, don’t be afraid to be original and to invoke your own personality into your business, and be stable and consistent in whatever you are pursuing.
