PICTURE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT...

...Picture it in exquisite detail

To achieve what you want in life, you must know exactly what it is, be able to 100% define it, picture every detail of it. People often don’t do this very well.

But here’s the thing: if you can’t picture every detail, then you don’t really know what you want. And if you don’t really know what you want, how can you make it happen?

A big problem for a lot of people is that what they want is a moving target. That will never work. You have to make a decision, before you can go for it. That’s the only way you can create a strong vision.

Writing down a description is the place to start. Make a list of all the things that would make you happy. Everything. Don’t play devil’s advocate - write it all down in five minutes. Then prioritize - choose the top three. The prioritize again - choose "number ONE".

Now describe "number one" completely. Picture achieving that goal. In fact, picture it again and again and again and again. As you run through that movie a few hundred times, make a list of everything you see. Every smallest detail. If a question comes up, run the movie by again. Write down the elements that become more clear.
The idea is to be able to run a perfect version of that movie in your head, time after time after time. And watch closely, because over time, other smaller elements will become clear. Add them to your list.

Start working for this goal after you’ve watched the movie a few times, long before you have every detail totally clear. The harder you work at it, the harder it will be for you to give up.

That is the way you set out to get what you want in life.

Great article,Lyn.....

....And such good information! I like the part of not focusing on a moving target. That is good stuff. This makes me think of the quote, "what you think about comes about"

Thank you for sharing the article!

Prioritize...

That is what I constantly have to work on...because most of the time "everything" is important to me.....
So, this is a great reminder on how to organize for efficiency.

Thanks Lyn

Thanks Lyn for sharing this

This is one of my favorite exercises for my mind. Visualizing WHAT I want from life. I think about what I want all the time and it creates a movement to take action and make it happen. I work my plan daily.

VISION IT!!!

Lyn,

Thank you for the pointed reminder that it takes more than just wishing for something in your life, but actually writing down time after just like it is the last breath you will ever take..

I can recall a quote: The quote goes like this Man without Vision will Parrish... and if a man does not write it down and Crystallize it will fade away just like the sands of time...

Thank you again Lynn for the reminder!!!

Prioritize and see your vision clearly.

Lynn, Most people have so many things that they envision, but never seem to write them down, and then prioritize. You give great value hear and I was one who did it in the past. But I have priorities, now and then I add things to it so I can make this movie in my mind and I do keep envisioning it and that is what keeps me motivated, empowered and continue on my journey to success. Thanks for reminder. Great Value.

Picture Perfect

This is a great reminder of how powerful our minds are. We've been given the ability to create amazing pictures with our imaginations. Somewhere along the way, we forget to take the paint brush and color in our dreams with all the details. Thanks, Lyn, for sharing!

Thanks Lyn, Brilliant!

You can get real techno by taking your one happiest thing and creating a mind movie around it, then watch it morning and night and see what happens with your vision!

This is so good. I often think of the Zig Ziglar saying, You can't hit a target wearing a blindfold. Thanks for the reminder

Visualize and Be Happy!

Thanks for the reminder Lynn! It's important to think in terms of what you WANT and NOT what you DON'T want! The positive happy emotions are the ones that will attract, so think of the things you want even if you are in the opposite place.

Great post!
