All of which got me thinking…

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am mostly a people person, not a “thing” person – a be, do and share person, not a get, keep and have person.

Briefly, I want to run with that idea here and apply it to what we do as Network Marketers, especially as it pertains to Attraction Marketing.

As we all know, over the years the essential principles, relevance and ascendency of Attraction Marketing have been spelled out brilliantly for us by leaders in our industry too numerous to mention here.

What I want to address is why we, as the inheritors of their example, are, like them,  so stubborn and dogged about it all, and why we, like them, never gave up during all the lean years, and never will give up until the entire world latches onto our message and can benefit from it.

Of course, the money is good, often ridiculously good.

But not in the beginning. If people like us were EFFICIENT, we would have never gotten out of the batter’s box. We would have just quit! 

But as Attraction Marketers, we don’t want to be efficient. We want to be EFFECTIVE!

So, there has to be something much more fundamental behind it than just making a material profit.

The question then becomes what exactly does being “effective” mean to us as Attraction Marketers?

Without getting squirrely about it, here is what I think being effective as an Attraction Marketer really means

It means that we take our lead not from our thoughts and intentions, or the “things” of the world as such, but rather from being a “doing” in harmony with the natural way the world, which includes ourselves, actually works, how everything, including ourselves, has ordinarily come to be and is sustained…

which is according to the selfless and unconditional love of the source of all things for the life-affirming wellbeing of others, which is also its own.

To sum up: first and foremost comes a “doing” for the life-affirming wellbeing of others, which is also our own, then come all of our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, affirmations, visualizations and intentions vis-à-vis our desire for material profit.

Actually, as human beings we have no alternative. In truth, we are all naturally hardwired for that sort of thing.

For my money, our acknowledgment and acceptance of that principle as Attraction Marketers makes us different, and special, as business people and gives us our real value in the marketplace.
