Why Doesn't Attraction Marketing Work For Me?

Read More: Law of Attraction

Attraction marketing sucks. It's too hard. It's all fluff.

To this, I say you're right. Quit.

I used to be a very surface person. I was afraid of letting go of my safety. Living on the surface, and not getting down to the meaning of things kept me in a warm happy bubble where nothing would affect me. Nothing would affect me, but I was not affecting anything. I stopped living this way, because simply - it was not getting me anywhere, was not doing me any favors, and worst of all, i was not helping ANYBODY around me by being that way.

If you cannot see past the surface, into the deeper meaning of things - Attraction Marketing is not for you. If you are a surface only person, but want to be deeper,; want to make a difference then you need to eat, breathe, and sleep Attraction Marketing.

To all of the forum posters, and mlm naysays who say Attraction Marketing doesn't work, that is sucks, that it's BS, or that it's impossible - to quote Mr. T, "I pity the fool."

Attraction Marketing does work. It's not telling you to 'fake it, till you make it' as the old adage goes.

Instead, Attraction Marketing teaches you to be the person you wish to be. Attraction Marketing teaches to become a student again. Some people hate this, some people hate learning - they shy away from change. Others however, love learning, and love growth. I'll let you guess which camp is FOR Attraction Marketing, and which is against.

In Attraction Marketing, the points that I am certain some are missing:

  1. You NEED to change
  2. The only way to change is to learn to be different
  3. The only way to learn, is to read, watch and listen to those who have acheived success
  4. Attraction Marketing could also be called 'modelling' - this is where you watch the expert, and mimic or 'model' their thoughts, words, and actions
  5. Attraction Marketing teaches you to BECOME the leader you have been lacking. Fill in the empty space, with yourself.
  6. Attraction Marketing teaches you to establish value with the people you try to sell to. Establish a relationship, and you will repeat sales
  • You do NOT need to have a relationship to sell once, but you DO need to have a relationship to bring people back. This is one of the most crucial things in the WORLD for residual income. If you do NOT establish this relationship, through honesty, integrity, and trust people will be turned off YOU, your PRODUCT, and Network Marketing in general. Don't believe me? Ask most people what they think of Amway. (no offense to amway reps or the company)
  • Network Marketing has a bad rep for ONE REASON only. That reason is not the product, it's not the compensation plan, it's not the distribution. Nope. What is it? It's the people who didn't establish good relationships. The people to whom money and instant gratification was more important than the people they were selling to.

In sales, both direct and network - reps begin to think in terms of numbers, not people. It is THIS that is the critical error that Mr. Dillard, his associates, and his disciples are trying to change and embody. If you make it about the people, you will not only repeat your sales, and keep money coming in - but people will trust you - people will recommend you - people will LOVE you.

This is what Attraction Marketing is all about. This is the concept the naysayers have been missing. I hope this helps to clarify for those in limbo. =)

I once again, look forward to your comments!

Attraction marketing

O'K Shane. You made your point. However, can't attraction marketing be accomplished off-line as well? How long does it take to build trust with "Attraction Marketing?" I have a couple of friends that I trust after having 1 conversation with them. There are some individuals that I will NEVER trust, no matter how long I have a relationship with them

It may or may not be about value. In most instances it is about having a lot in common with the individual. Common denominators. If you haven't read Dale Carnegies' book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People," please do so. It is known as the Professional Salesman's handbook. Dale Carnegie was the originator of "Attraction Marketing" nearly 50 years ago.

In my opinion, as has been voiced on this site more than once, "people won't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." So my question is, (without sounding rhetorical), what are YOU doing to establish that kind of relationship?

Internet marketing takes a lot longer to establish those kinds of relationships.

Chris,

Hi Chris! Thank you for your comments!

Yes! Absolutely you can use Attraction Marketing offline, as well as online. If you're focusing on 'list building' as your attraction marketing, you're kind of missing the point (not saying YOU do this, just in general)

Those individuals you do not trust, this is YOUR choice not to trust them, correct? Every decision we make (to trust, or not to trust) is a choice. They may very well be trustworthy, but due to a lack of communication skills on their part, the relationship goes south. Not saying EVERYONE is worth trusting, just saying it comes down to a choice and truly understanding communication, and the person and the message they truly mean.

The first way to gain rapport with ANYBODY (or a connection) is to dig, by asking them questions. This gives you insight to their life, their style, and their thought process. Through this, you find something you have in common, apply energy to that link, and Rapport will be established. "Rapport is created by a feeling of commonality."

I've read Mr. Carnegies works a few times over. I agree, he is amazing. I have also read hundreds of other books, From Nightingale to Robbins.

To parle your "people won't care how much you know, until they know how much you care"... How do you let people know how much you care? To me, learning, what others do NOT know, and do not bother to learn or understand is a surefire sign of someone who cares. People who do NOT care, do not take the time to learn, to listen, and to teach.

Having knowledge, and sharing that knowledge, for free is to me the most effective way of showing how much I care.

Attraction marketing is more than online, or offline marketing. Attraction marketing is communication mastery. It is learning the uncommon, and teaching it to the uncommon man/woman. Attraction marketing is not about being 'good' at what you do, being against attraction marketing doesn't make you 'bad' at what you do. What attraction marketing DOES do is make you extraordinary. It makes you stand out, by being uncommon. Faking attraction marketing, and faking being extraordinary will quickly be found out. =)

I truly appreciate your input Chris, you're an amazing asset to this site. Thanks for your comments & questions!

Well Shane I do not agree with you. It is a numbers game...if you want to get ahead you have to think numbers no matter what you are offering. Its nice to have repeat customers...but when you build a downline...you got to think numbers!!! This is my opnion and experience...Have a great one.
