5 Best Places to Invest Your Time & Energy In Order to Prosper in the New Economy
Tonight on Anh Vu's (@VusViews on Twitter) Internet Talk Radio Show "Nothing But the Truth", Sophia (my wife & I) were Special Guests for Anh's Money Monday Show.
If you caught the show LIVE, here I posted what I shared on Anh's show.
First, just in case you were wondering, we cannot give advice, suggestions or recommendations on monetary investments. We are aligned with a Private Financial Investment & Education Group, so if this is your interest, you can contact us or just request our Business Information at WealthCreationPros.com
So, as we delivered on "Nothing But the Truth" with Anh Vu, here are our Top 5 Places to Invest Your Time & Energy to Prosper in the New Economy:
#1 - The Internet
In this new economy where we see brick and mortar businesses shutting down every day, layoffs and unemployment at an all time high and traditional means of making money drying up like a puddle in the sahara, it's critical that you learn how to take advantage of the Internet & the World Wide Web to create income.
You want to invest in learning a very specific set skills in order to build a large list, build a relationship with that list and monetize it with your choice of product or service.
#2 - Building & Developing Relationships
Whether you run a small or large business, building and developing relationships is critical in this new economy. I mean, who would you listen to more, a bill board on the side of the highway or a great friend, who you already know, like and trust.
Customer to customer marketing has become the rage in free enterprise societies, so as it's been said by a very wise man (Harvey McKay), dig your well before you're thirsty!
With Social Media becoming exponentially bigger than traditional means of advertising like television, radio & magazine all combined, its not only large companies that are using the Internet to capture their market's attention, build relationships & develop customer loyalty.
It's also the Small Business Owner and Internet Entrepreneur who can easily create friends, fans & followers.
Using the Internet to develop new relationships is a great place to start, however, it's also LIVE events that cement the connections made online or off.
Hosting meet ups, local mixers and one on ones, you can easily enrich your relationships with people from both a local and long distance market.
Another very powerful way to build and develop relationships is to brand yourself online and create a buzz about yourself, your brand, your products or your services by using Social Media.
Because platforms like Facebook, Twitter & You Tube are all free services (along with hundreds of others), learning to utilize Social Media to build and develop relationships is a very wise investment of your time & energy.
#3 - Your Financial IQ
If you pay attention to the news, radio, tv, newspapers, magazines, or the internet and all you'll hear about is "the economy this and the economy that..."
What you are not hearing, is why the economy is sucking money right out of your pocket and eventually, your bank account.
FACT:
Did you know that the higher US taxes get raised by the current administration, (especially for the rich, where top 2% of income earners in the US equate to over 50% of retail sales each year), the less people spend in the marketplace?
And a continuation of this pattern could only result in one thing - the slowing of our economy, the devaluation of the US dollar and eventually a repeat performance of the Great Depression in 1929 where markets stood still for several years.
Yes, this could happen and if so, it's going to happen much sooner than later - so you'd better be prepared.
Imagine for a second the parting of the Red Sea.
Two sides - nothing between them.
When all the smoke is all cleared and the dust settles, what is currently known as the middle class, will be gone.
You will either be lower class or upper class.
A part of the haves or the have nots.
Yes, the 50 trillion dollar Wealth Transfer is happening right now, right under your nose - and if you don't pay close attention
right now and educate yourself, you could easily end up on the losing side.
Let me rephrase all this - the higher US taxes go, the less people spend and the more they hold onto their dollars.
The more they hold onto their money, the less it's worth, because the currrent administration has printed so much in order to bail these big dumb companies out of debt, that now, your money is on its way to being pretty much worthless.
Look at what happened in Greece - the US is no different.
It's going to happen sooner than later and there's not much you can do to stop it.
So, what can you do to protect yourself and your family?
Get educated.
Invest your time and energy into learning about this 50 Trillion Dollar Wealth Transfer and the New Economy and what you can do about it to prepare yourself and your family - very, very important.
#4 - Personal Leadership Development
Right now, in the most uncertain time in the past 80 years, the #1 factor in your success is this...being a Leader.
Because being a leader means that you have a plan - a plan to help people go from the place they are, to where they want to be.
But in order to lead others, you must first be able to lead yourself.
Being self motivated, inspired and having self discipline is critical, especially in today's economy where it can be very tempting to do things that take the pain away or at least, help you forget about the difficulties that you or those around you are experiencing.
A true leader steps up and takes the initiative that most others will find boring or uncomfortable.
A true leader will do the things today that others won't do, so they can do the things tomorrow that others can't do.
And in the wake of becoming a Leader for yourself, you will find that you've become a leader for others.
And this my friend, is a great, great place to be.
So for sure, invest your time and energy into becoming a Leader, even if it means being a loner for a short while.
While it may not be easy, it will be well worth it.
#5 - Own your own business
With job security almost non-existent these days, your best bet to become successful in the New Economy is to simply become your own boss.
Yes, although layoffs & unemployment are at an all time high, entrepreneurship is too.
What this means is that while most people will struggle in this New Economy, for those who are ambitious enough to take a small risk and learn the skills, they can prosper greatly and protect themselves and their family for generations to come.
Remember, during the worst of times, is also the best of times, for those who understand capitalism.
As I mentioned on "Nothing But the Truth" with Anh Vu, money right now is flowing from dumb to smart.
Entrepreneurs who know what the market is searching for and how to position themselves correctly, are making a ton of money.
To not own your own business, is the biggest risk.
In other words, turn your Plan B, into Plan A.
Start a small business.
Learn some new skills.
Take a proactive response to the recession.
What else are you going to do?
Work for someone else?
Keep playing small and living smaller?
OR... are you going to become an Entrepreneur and start taking back control of your finances, your freedom and your life?
Starting your own business is an absolute must when it comes to prospering in the New Economy.
So, there you have it... my Top 5 Places to Invest Your Time & Energy to Prosper in the New Economy.

Terrific Job!
Hi Aaron..
I just want to congratulate you on a well written article. your article basically covers the current economic situation not just of the US but also other countries like mine, the Philippines. And you were right to say that personal development and leadership will ALWAYS be the recipe for success. Keep inspiring other people to be successful in their search for financial freedom. =)
NICE! Great Topic.
I appreciate your comments and agree with these smart ways of investing in our businesses and our selfs. It is clear that network markeing is going to continue to be a driving forces in the economies of the Western world.
Thanks
Hello Aaron, thanks for taking the time to share and educate our community. I could personally relate to each step, especially the Leadership path. Its difficult for my friends and family to understand or see my vision. But reading this brings a smile to my face.
The Rich Can Afford 3% More...
The middle class can get their tax breaks by owning their own businesses. I dont believe only 2% (the rich) can stimulate the economy. They can afford to pay another 3% in taxes. Why are the rich whining about paying 3% more? they paid 39% under Bill Clinton.
Those loans (bailouts) are being paid back by the banks with interest. AIG just announced that they are almost done paying back their bailout money and most of the other banks have already paid back the govt.
Alot of "Food" for Thought!
Thank you for your informative post. It's alot to Digest, some even hard to swallow...you would think the government is for the people...they're mostly for themselves, alot of greed and ego! That's not just in the U.S. either! (time for lunch, all this food talk is making me hungry)!

That was really telling it
That was really telling it like it is.The people running our country do not have a clue on what they are doing .If you are waiting for them to bail you out of your money problems ,you are ging to have a long gray beard by that time .Sart your own business and when you wont a raise look at yourself in the bath room mirror
How true it is!
You are right on every point. It's so important to invest in building our own business online. It's also very important that we become good leaders so that we can lead others to success. Wonderful article! I will share it on Facebook.
People Need Honesty
Thanks for this post Aaron. So many people do not want to admit that the wealth transfer is going on but if you look at the bigger picture (regardless of how you feel politically) there is no denying it. I don't like talking about it myself...it's scary. I decided to move past the fear and take control of my financial future the best I can. It's great to be surrounded by people who are working toward the same goal.
Great List!
Great post Aaron with great content for all of us to consider and focus on! While I wholeheartedly agree with your points regarding the transfer of wealth that has actually already begun, I also that it's origins is internationally based. In my opinion, it doesnt matter what administration is in Washington, there's an international financial elite that are pulling the strings.
Basicaly... Invest all your time in becoming a leader
This is the conclusion I got to...
And I totally agree.
I see today's world like a wild old world where everybody has an inside chaos and don't know what to do.
I see people screaming and running around looking for help, but at the same time, more skeptical than ever.
And there are only a few alpha people who know what's going on and where the problem is.. And more important, where the SOLUTION is.
Invest your time and money in finding the SOLUTION and then LEADING people to the SOLUTION.

Relationships & Personal Development Is Everything
If we do not take the time to get to know, like and trust the people we are just wasting our time. We also need to read self development books like Think and Grow Rich to have things in common with other prospects and share what we got out of a chapter.
Lawrence Bergfeld
No truer words spoken
Hello Aaron, man you hit it on the head. Earlier today I read an email from Mike Dillard on his new endeavour, The Elevation Group. As you might have seen also, he shared a video clip from the 60 minutes program.
Basically in it they were talking to people about the economy and how it has affected their 401K.
Many people interviewed were near tears talking about the $$$ loss they have taken in their 401K.
Many said they did not think they'd ever be able to re-tire. One gentleman was having to work at a funeral home as a greeter and at Starbucks amongst the college students. He was in his 50's.
I didn't know whether to cry or get mad. So I got mad. I thought BULL SHIT.
Man like you said we need to take responsiblity for our own financial lives.
With the internet there is just far to many opportunities available for anyone to be in lack.
Sad thing is, if you try to share an IM or NWM venture with many of these folk, they'd say it was a scam. Yet they are out job hunting. Talk about a scam...
If you got a computer and internet connection, hell get busy and learn a skill set, make your own job and 401K.
There is gold at your fingertips and in your own back yard.
Great info and post sir.
Best 5 Places
Hello Aaron, I just love this kind of stuff so uplifting. I feel the same a purpose and a plan can mean all the difference in the world. To know the WHY you were born and then to do that is just the most awesome thing you could know. I was created to make a difference as I see you feel the same way. Thanks for sharing this great post.

One of my all time quotes is by Zig Zizlar "If you don't like the output then change the input" - Fantastic post

Great article Aaron. I'm glad I took the leap of faith to start my Home Based Business. The future is looking a lot brighter.

From Someone Who's Experienced HyperInflation, I Can Relate
Hi Aaron,
Great article indeed. You really nailed it.
I'm originally from Zimbabwe in Africa, and I have experienced hyperinflation of the tallest order. At one point in the year, you have a one dollar note that can buy you a drink and barely 12 months later, you have a 100 trillion dollar note (YES TRILLION), which cannot get you that same drink.
That experience has taught me the importance of your point above on Financial IQ. Many people hear about the coming troubles, but as we all know, ignorance can be bliss. I just hope everyone actually gets to read this article of yours and gets their eyes opened. Without Financial IQ, a lot of people are going to lose out.
I also like your other points, especially on Leadership and how we must lead ourselves first, and in so doing, we get to be the leaders others are looking for.
Network Marketing is perfect for the majority of your points. It can be hard, but it's definitely worth it.
Willie Robertson, I watched the video clip you are referring to, and I can safely say we need to brace ourselves for one hell of a ride up ahead. Video clips like that should shout in our faces that WE SHOULD PREPARE OURSELVES!
I must say, I also enjoyed Sean Knoweth's enthusiasm for your article.
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful article.
Michael T. Makahamadze
I totally agree!
It's time for change! We know it's coming and we must accept it with open arm but we must be prepared. I totally agree with this article. Thank you for sharing it.
The old way wasn't working so its up to us to do what we must to survive...- Tupac Shakur
Amen to that . . .
I copy the taking action now part.
It's interesting Robert Kiyosaki teaches the same thing .... the need to elevate your financial IQ.
Great post , glad I'm on top of this & helping others to do the same.
