7 Tips For Successful MLM Coaching

I was listening to one of Ray Higdon video training about MLM coaching and he was describing the steps he thought were the most important when in position of leadership.

I extended on his advice and came up with the following…

7 simple tips for successful MLM Coaching

1. Adapt to your team members

Not all new reps will actually do the required work. Some might be excited to join but will not do the required consistent actions everyday. You might be hungrier than some and that’s OK, not everyone focus as much as you do. So make sure you accept everyone based on their “will” and give advice accordingly but do not waste time on tire kickers!

2. Lead but do not manage

A leader do not do tech support, they do not do $2/hour work for their members. A leader must show members through MLM coaching that they themselves do what makes money and not waste time with non productive activities. So focus on what makes sense and get results! When you produce and results, show them how you did it and enable them to duplicate them do not do the work for them or you will instill a feeling of entitlement. You got to instill leadership and initiative in them instead.

3. Differentiate your members

This might sound harsh but you are here to make money after all. So spend more time with the producers, the hungry people! It will be far more productive and will get you a lot more results to spend 10 hours with 1 mover that 1 hour with 10 that do not want to do what toy tell them to do… Of course do no ignore people who are just getting started, but help them an automated way, with recorded training or training courses. 4. Focus on income producing activities

Your #1 priority during your MLM coaching sessions is to make sure to focus on income producing activities to turn your team members into profit ASAP. Online marketing is not fast or is not cheap. Have the right expectations for your members. Have them focusing on interacting with others and create relationships. Have them invite, follow up and close as many people as possible as fast as possible and there is no way they will not sponsor new people either in the marketing system (and make a commission) or their primary company (and build a bigger team)

5. Enable open discussions and discover what the tough problems of your members are

Where is the problem, the difficulties in the income producing activities? Is it in the inviting, follow up or closing step? Help improve those areas and the results will improve. If you need to focus on helping new people on how to generate leads, make sure you can to it as automated as possible and use your time helping in activities that will grow their team or make them money (generating leads do not make us money after all).

6. Be honest with yourself and your team

Most people have a tendency to avoid the reality of what they are really doing to grow their business and pretend ot be busy building. But do they really do productive activities or are they just spinning their wheels. You have to make sure they are honest with you and with themselves about what they do and you must encourage honesty in your team. An open and honest discussion will always produce better resulted and more focused action plan.

7. Ask your team members to record their conversations be it on the phone or online

Schedule some MLM coaching time to listen and review the conversations and coach on those, improve those and the results will improve. Inviting, following up and closing are the money skills so focus on improving those and you will explode your team.

MLM coaching is not that hard…

Overall, those tips are not that tough to implement. They will require some focus and some dedication but aren’t we in this business because we are dedicated to our and to other people success and dreams?
