A Great Coach Is Very Clear On Their Own “WHY

Two things you need to do to have a profitable business

  1. Offer prospects a tested, proven lead generation & training system
  2. Develop your own ability to coach your recruits to success in your system

The most important element of being able to coach your recruits to success is … you. You must understand your WHY and focus on it daily. You’ve got to know exactly what motivates you, or you’ll never be able to help your prospects figure out what motivates them. And if they can’t state their WHY, then they’ll drift away sooner or later. They can’t maintain their commitment if they can’t see exactly why they’re doing the daily work.
Re-read the first chapter of  Sucessin 10 Steps                                          if you’re at all hazy about your WHY. You’ll get at least 20 questions in that chapter to help you pinpoint your motivations.
Plus … it’ll be a big help to you in coaching others on how to state their WHY and then work toward achieving their goals. That is all a great coach does.

Hi Alma, I think you're spot on with the WHY of people. I think it is the number one reason, knowing your personal WHY, that makes you never give up. Great!

Why = Success

There are mentors and then there are MENTORS. The difference, as you have pointed out, is in their WHY.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Why?

Without your WHY you will die!! It's the life line of your business. When life and business gets hard your WHY will help you stay FOCUSED on your goals.

Thanks for that info Alma

Thanks Alma, If we have a strong WHY it will keep us going. Desire is so key!

Having a purpose or a goal.

I like to think of my "Why" as having a purpose and setting goals. As a good coach helping a prospect understand their purpose through goal setting and business planning and mission planning is essential. But none can be achieved until action is applied. Far to many times I see coaches hammering prospects saying "they don't have enough Why." It is not having enough it is not knowing where to start or how to begin because of fear of the unknown.

Desire, action, planning and goal setting brings on the strong purpose of success. Understanding and commitment to the prospect as a coach builds the relationship.

A Great Coach

What you have posted, Alma, is the information that is needed to become a great leader. One leads by knowing in their heart what they want to do and how they are going to do it. By indoctrinating this information, one then shows his prospects what to do by doing what he says he will do; practice what you preach. And most of all, plans need to be fluid; be ready to modify your actions to fit the changing situations. Plan your work, and work your plan is true indeed. But do not fix yourself in concrete, or you will likely stagnate or collapse. And modify your tactics with your prospects as well as they are all different people with different outlooks and different personalities.
