Absent results means failed leadership

Leadership is a process that produces the desired results. You are not a leader if you do not produce results. Running a business is just like running a football team. You can not be negative or want to be always right or else you are a follower. The results do come from mistakes and being tough mentally to handle them, be responsible and to abandon efforts that do not produce results. If you do not get rid of the efforts that do not produce results that is insanity. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. When people notice you doing that they stay away from you.

To get results you must take risks even if you are not sure what is next. Almost all the time you will be uncertain. Only by taking risks and taking action you can take your organization to the next level. The only way to get results is to be specific and mesurable and having a clear vision with the definition of what improvement and adaption looks like and having a beginning and end in mind. Results are from knowing what you have accomplished to day and having a clear, specific strategy for shutting the gap between todays reality and your vision for tommorow. Produce results in whatever way is comfortable for you, but keep in mind at all times that it is not whether you are liked or approved by anybody as a leader. The main thing is that other people have to produced based on what you have demonstrated to them. In other words they must duplicate it, monkey see, monkey do.

If you can not act like this every single day and you are wishy-washy. Face facts now and get out of the game!
