Corrected: Benefit From Your BN Community Membership
I need to apologize for inaccuracies in this report. I reported the information backwards. What I should have said is Contribution Rank instead of Community Rank.
The Community Rank has to do with getting points to move up in levels, it's Contribution Rank that is based on quality of content.
Contribution Rank has to do with the quality of content and votesthat the community give your submission. Below is my corrected article and reposted as a revision.
REVISED TO CORRECT ERRORS
I originally posted an article on Community Ranking for people in BusinessLifeFamily group. Then I realized that perhaps Newbies who are not in our group might find this article helpful as well.
I reposted that article at the bottom - after the divider - for them and also for the old timers in the Community. Although they may have been with BN for a longer time than us, they might benefit from the report as well.
Community members may become frustrated when they do not see themselves recognized at the Contribution Rank Level for their contributions, especially those who have been with the community for some time. There are two reasons for this attitude.
1. People, who are new, should appreciate what BetterNetworker is about. They should also appreciate that, if they post articles to get points without concern for quality of content, they may become discouraged over time and stop contributing. We don't want that; what we want is to help people have a good attitude by embracing the value that BetterNetworker offers them.
2. Both old-timers with BN and Newbies want to learn from our members, especially from those who have a lot of experience and have much to offer us. Unfortunately, if old-timers or newbies do not embrace the purpose of BetterNetworker, they will make the same mistakes that I made when I started with BetterNetworker. I did not understand the value of being part of this community. I also did not see the value in posting on the site or the benefit of being active. I spent most of the time in posting on my own blogs. That was my attitude at the time and my agenda was to promote myself.
As I became more active in BetterNetworker and interacted with people in the community, I began to understand what this Community is all about. Now I better understand the meaning of VALUE. I thought I knew what value meant; obviously, I only had a slight understanding of the word. I hope I can help you avoid making the mistakes that I did in the beginning of my membership with BN.
If you want the support of this community, then you need to know how to function inside it to receive the full benefits of your membership. Below is the repost of my article in the group Business.Life.Family. You should join us.

Repost - Contribution Ranking
I decided to talk with you today about your Contribution Ranking. This ranking is based on the quality of the content you contribute to the community.
I bring up this subject because, as a member of this group, I would like to see you raise your Contribution Ranking in the community. The point for ranking is QUALITY CONTENT. You can start up your own group and post a lot of videos and articles to raise your Community Rank, but to me, the most important rank comes from your quality contributions. This rank shows that you are not just tossing out reports to get points, but that you are interested in really making a difference to the community and your group.
BetterNetwork gives you an opportunity to learn from the experts as well as sharing your knowledge and experiences with people who have common interests. We are all entrepreneurs, that makes us different. What sets us apart from other entrepreneurs is our commitment to being in service to others. Many entrepreneurs are only interested in themselves and what they can get from people, but the BetterNetworker Entrepreneurs are more interested in helping people attain their dreams by providing value to people.
Are you a BetterNetworker type of entrepreneur or just part of the crowd? I ask that question, not because I am critical of any one, but because we all have times when we forget why we are here. I did, but I am finally understanding the bigger picture. That's important to me and to those of you who are here to learn and to give. For those who are here to promote self and that agenda, you need to expose yourself more to the people with a higher Community and Contribution Rank. They have something that you need to know.
Now one more point that I want to make is to be sure you vote on the article you just read. If you think the article did not provide value, then do not give it a vote. But if the article did something to you internally, then you should give it your vote. Value your vote, don't give it to people who don't deserve it - just because they posted something - because that is rewarding a person for being self-motivated. My understanding is that the Contribution Rank is used to reward people who focus on quality and not quantity.
In case you do not know how the ranking works, here is a link to an explanation.
