Do you have the upline support who really cares about your success?

I have been in companies where my upline treats me special in the beginning then loses the connection later down the road. There must be a system in place for training otherwise the new person will drop the business as I have done in the past. I have felt like a number to my upline rather than a real person.  Building a strong foundation for your business requires a strong leader who willingly builds relationships with the entire team.  I would rather pass a new member to my downline if I know I will not have time for him/her.  I strongly believe in building people rather than just focusing on my business.  The business will take care of itself as I give my support and care to all my team members.  Be a go-giver!

Just read this in the latest Jim Rohn ezine: We must learn to help those who deserve it, not just those who need it. Life responds to deserve, not need.
There is always two sides to every story and if your upline lost interest in you after a while maybe (and I'm not saying this is your case) you got busy doing other stuff and weren't actually doing activities that would build. As an upline it's like playing catch, I lobby a ball to you, you lobby it back, I throw it to you and so on and so on. If one of us doesn't do our part eventually the two of us would not want to play together anymore.
Jim Rohn's quote makes perfect sense then doesn't it?

Thanks, Penny. I truly was open to learning but was lost in the shuffle of new members my upline was adding to daily. I believe teamwork is essential in this business. I did not do the activities such as showing my friends and family the products and business. That just did not feel right to me. Real training requires more than that piece of advice. I can read self development books and learn new skills anywhere on my own. What I needed was a real mentor to explain the nuts and bolts of marketing and people skills. I am so fortunate to have finally found what I have been looking for. I do know it takes two to create the synergy needed to catapult a meaningful relationship. I found that deeper relationship. Thanks for your input.

MLM Upline Support

I agree with what Jim Rohn is saying. Who wouldn't. In essence: I'll teach you everything I know as long as you step up to the plate. But if you don't put the effort into this business I'm not going to waste my precious time.

I wouldn't word it this way coming out of the box with a new recruit. But they do need to know that they are going to make mistakes. This is not going to be easy. However, I will be available to help as long as you are doing your part.

Every single upline mentor wants you to succeed but sometimes if your not putting the almighty dollar into their pocket they go south. Part of the problem, in my opinion, is because some uplines push on their recruits what worked for them.

It only makes sense that they would do that. If they had a variety of strategies to teach; new recruits would find more success by using what they feel most comfortable with.

The other end of the spectrum is the level that your sponsor is at. I wouldn't push the recruiting end of MLM until your downline is in a comfort zone within their business. This way they are passionate about what they do.

Some sponsors are still in the learning curve of their business and simply don't have the skills yet to be a productive sponsor.

Totally agree with you James. Everyone likes certain ways of marketing. Their are a ton of possibilities to pick from but you have to know what way may work best for your personality.
