Give Value - it's worth more than gold.

I believe it is now common knowledge among people who become involved in network marketing and the home business industry online, that a great company does not guarantee great success.    On the contrary, you could have the greatest company in the world that sold the most beneficial vitamin ever known to mankind, but if the representatives of that company were complete nerds who had no idea how to provide leadership to the people they were trying to encourage to join their business, they will fail miserably.

Network marketers must be able to show that they can provide VALUE to their prospects, totally apart from their company and irrespective of who that company is.  After all, it is your business - you need to run it accordingly.  You are there to succeed - and not just by being average - but by being AWESOME.

So what is value?  Here is a small statistic I came across - let's call it Company X:

"Over a 3 month period and monitoring the performance of 50 representatives of Company X, records indicated that those members who focused their marketing efforts to attract prospects primarily by presenting the value of their company, managed to attain an average of  3 sign ups for every 100 prospects.  While those that represented themselves as leaders with high value and created an image of having more value than their partners, produced an average sponsorship of 20 prospects per 100."

That's a huge increase of 17% which is the difference between success and failure in the savage world of internet marketing.   And you know why group B was more successful than Group A?  Because they projected themselves as leaders.  PEOPLE JOIN PEOPLE - PEOPLE DO NOT JOIN A BUSINESS.

You read those statistics every day on the 'net' - "Why do 97% of network marketers fail in this industry? Video after video - post after post.

But I didn't answer my own question yet.   What is value?

Think about yourself for a minute.  Write down everything you can think of about yourself that sets you apart from everyone else.   You are, after all, unique.  This is not about the company you have aligned yourself with or its compensation plan - they don't belong to you.  This is about you - your personality - your traits - your qualities.  Things you possess that you can give freely to your prospects.  They could be books or videos - you don't necessarily have to have written those books or made those videos, all you need to do is direct your prospects where to go to get them and watch them.

Here's the bottom line folks - if you choose to join this industry you have to learn how to operate within it.  Learn the rules.  Operate by those rules.  Give value to your prospects - that value is worth more than gold.
