Leadership… Is it in YOU?

If you want to be successful in Network Marketing it is imperative that you become a leader. I will share with you the most important qualities and traits of true leadership. A true leader will lead you to success with their ability, their knowledge and their eagerness to help you achieve your goals and aspirations in this business.

 
You view people as a true leader with not only the success they’ve achieved but the characteristics they exhibit. Choose wisely who you follow and learn all you can from them. Learning is essential to becoming a proven leader and John F. Kennedy once said “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other”
 
You’ve undoubtedly heard “he’s a born leader”. Granted there are “born leaders”, but the majority of leaders are “created” by their willingness to demonstrate certain qualities. You must hone these qualities in order to achieve your full potential as a leader in this industry. What are the essential qualities a person must possess to be a leader?
 
Courage
 
So often I see people who have let their fears control the decisions they make and consequently fail at achieving the very goals they set out to attain. A true leader must have COURAGE, the courage to battle the fears that hold them back. You must press on and disregard the possibility of failure. True courage is the willingness to charge forward through adversity in order to attain your dreams and goals. The only remedy for fear is courage.  
 
Confidence
 
Partnered with fear is self-doubt and can be as detrimental to your overall success. Confidence is what keeps you moving toward your goal even when failure is imminent. Confidence is the unwavering belief in yourself that you can accomplish what you have set out to achieve. This allows you to keep trying until you improve or look for help and advice. Confidence is contagious and if you have faith in yourself, others will believe in you.
 
Focus
 
Even while courage and confidence are necessary qualities, if he or she is not equipped with intense FOCUS, this person will probably drift off course. Focus has two integral elements. The first is persistence, by far the most important factor in a person’s achievements. Persistence is an individual’s refusal to give up until they have achieved their goals. The second part is concentration, or the capacity to stay on task without being distracted or redirected to things less important. These leaders have an uncanny ability to separate what is immediately pressing from what is less important.
 
Passion
 
Why do we follow great leaders and seek them for motivation. True leaders have PASSION for what they do. They are consistently positive, energetic and optimistic.
Even in failure they are unwilling to give up and consistently motivate others that their goals can be achieved. Not only are these people completely committed to what they undertake, they inspire the people around them to emulate their passion.
 
Character
 
Finally, exceptional leaders demonstrate integrity and consistently continue to display this strong sense of Character. Integrity, sincerity, honesty and reliability are all strong values that demonstrate the content of one’s character. This is the stuff their reputation is built on and will determine whether or not one will choose to follow.
Become the best leader you can be by implementing and mastering these qualities. Leadership is a lifelong learning experience. I challenge you to continue enhancing your leadership skills by reading books on leadership, listening to lecturers and taking leadership classes.
