ROI - "RETURN On INVESTMENT"

Basic, fundamental business principle.  What return are you getting back from your investment??  Every business owner knows or should know, they need to assess every change or addition they make to their business and accept or reject it based on the ROI.  Why?  Because profit is what is going to keep them in business.  Plain and simple.

You can invest in your business in a variety of ways but I am going to focus on the big three: Time, Capital and Education.

TIME:  Ever thought about why a traditional business requests "experience preferred" when looking for a new employee??  Because time is money and to take an untrained person and spend hours/days and weeks training is a huge investment for business owners.  Most business owners don't have the advantage we, in network marketing, have.  We have access to training systems that will start the most inexperienced person on their journey to success.   We can then facilitate where and when they get the needed "next step" without spending our time actually doing the training.  A complete Win-Win situation and you can focus on the activities you need to do to increase your profits.

CAPITAL:   The initial investment for most network marketing companies is very, very low.  Starting a business for only $200, $300 or $500?  A business where your income could far surpass what a small to medium size business does.  If you compare the cost of starting a traditional business with fixed costs of rent/mortgage, inventory and staff, it would be foolish not to invest more than your initial and possibly ongoing investment of a couple hundred bucks each month.  Invest in the tools you need, outsource in areas you are weak in (or don't have the time for), don't be cheap -  send out free samples of your product.  Remember you are in network MARKETING and marketing costs money !

EDUCATION: Pay for it.  Not to say that you can't get a free education by following the experts (it'll take you longer and you may find there is always one little piece of the puzzle you're missing) but you will find if you pay for training from the best of the best, you will make thousands off one training.  Possibly millions with the right training ! Invest in your training as diligently as any professional does.  Education/training is not an expense, it is an investment !  An investment which will have an amazing return.

Approach your business with a Return on Investment strategy and you will find yourself in a profitable situation fairly quickly.  The biggest mistake I see people making is putting very little to NO value on their time.  The return on their investment of time is minimal as it isn't viewed as one of the key factors in building a large and profitable business.

To your success,

ROI - The Best Bait For Business-Minded People

Hey Joyce,

That's a great article. So many who start an MLM business don't understand ANY of the basics of business. With this kind of information, you'll get the attention of current or prior business owners who are looking for another profit center.

I think that's a very good pool to fish in.
