THE Most Important Skill Every Network Marketer Should Know…
Do I have your attention? Thought so!
We have another great guest post from Byron Smith today. Read on to learn the most important aspect to being successful in Network Marketing. HINT: It has NOTHING to do with technology...
Recognition is important!
Recognize names and faces, recognize leaders, recognize people...
All human beings want to be recognized.
Some people seem to have a hard time acknowledging others that come across their path.
This is a sad fact to me because this is a crucial part of business that should be paid more attention.
Think support, recognition, and self-respect!
People are here on this planet to help and support one another. Why else do we live and travel this planet? Families, friends, mentors, and those we mutually respect.
The death of the self-proclaimed King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was a globally recognized event.
No matter how you feel about the man, Michael Jackson had many fans worldwide. Many people were upset by his tragic death -- his music touched millions of people.
Naturally, these people responded by showing their respect to Mr. Jackson at his funeral. Lots of stars were in attendance.
His music touched lives across cultures, nations, and generations. Michael Jackson had a power over people that was as unique as his talent.
As I watched the media speculation over the event, and the allegations that came with the reports, I did some self-reflection:
I wondered if I die, would people mourn me?
If I died today, how many people would come to my funeral?
If I died and they asked people to give a testimony about me, what would they say?
How will I be recognized?
To be recognized is to be lifted up.
Even those who are shy enjoy its shine. It lightens and brightens anyone it touches.
There is a power in being recognized.
There is a power in giving and receiving this thing we call recognition.
As a leader, it’s always important to give the right people recognition. The exercise of this principle can lead to great gain.
And the ignorance of this principle could lead to a slow demise of fame, reputation, and public standing.
To grow in this business, people must be placed first.
Forget the lucrative compensation plan, or a fancy matrix design in your business plan. Forget the fact that your company will give away a brand new 750 Li BMW once you’ve been promoted to Senior Vice President. None of these things should matter if you really want to be successful long-term.
Names and faces are good to remember. Have you ever had a conversation with someone who said:
"I’m not good with names"…
OR
"I don’t remember faces very well"…
Well, it’s very important that you do!
As a leader of a group, you must make edification a priority. People will go to the ends of the earth for a little recognition!
Think about it. Think about what a difference this would make for your business...
Let’s make an effort to appreciate one another, and then step back and see what impact you can make.
