What is Network Marketing and Multi-level Marketing (MLM)?
What is Network Marketing and Multi-level Marketing (MLM)?
Multi-level marketing (MLM) and Network Marketing ARE THE SAME! They are described as a marketing structure used by some companies as part of their overall marketing strategy.
The structure is designed to create a marketing and sales force by compensating promoters/distributors of company products not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of other promoters/distributors they introduced to the company, creating a down line of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation.
So, what does this mean? This means we have to teach promoters/distributors, we need to train them and mentor other network marketers. You need to be a leader, someone who knows, directs and can help and have solutions to problems. A network marketer is someone who gives value and directs others in the RIGHT direction. "Don’t lose sight of what we should be doing." We should be helping other network marketers. My point is network marketers need to establish a relationship with both their upline and downline. If there is a failing rate of 97%, I would think the logical thing to do is to help them learn what it takes to do network marketing. We have an obligation to help anyone who is struggling in this industry.
Every person on this planet is different. We all have our own struggles and frustrations; but, we know, the honest network marketer knows, these are just stepping stones on the journey to becoming a leader and gaining value. We need to reassure people that their DREAMS and WHY’s matter. We may even have to remind them. There a network marketers who are struggling. Reach out your hand, don’t just talk the walk, but walk with them, Find out what their problems are, give them solutions. If you don’t know how to help them, ask someone in your mastermind group. Be personable; ask about their family, how much time do they spend with each other, there business, their future security. Ask them how the economy is effecting them. Ask open ended questions. Let them talk. Let them ask questions. If you get stuck, be honest with them and tell them you’ll find an answer. Ask your mastermind group. Best advice is being you and think about what problems they may be having. You are their solution.
By asking questions, you uncover needs and wants. Once you have uncovered your prospect's problem areas, you can then present information about your opportunity and company which can help solve their problems. You will be amazed at how much more they become receptive to what you have to say when you are delivering a solution rather than a sales pitch.
If you are in are in a MLM or Network Marketing, do you know how to find the right company? In order for you to be in right company, you have to know the five pillars of a successful company. Otherwise, no matter what your upline or person(s) have told you about XYZ Company, you will not succeed.

Therese...
I do agree with you how you need to walk the walk with them. At one time you were in "their shoes" and you have already walked the walk to success.
By walking with them, you can help them walk the walk faster, smarter, and wealthier.
You have the solution to to their problems.
BUT I disagree with this line:
"Let them ask questions. If you get stuck, be honest with them and tell them you’ll find an answer."
Now let me explain why I disagree with this. I am assuming by how I took your article before I read this sentence is that when you said this line you were talking about the interviewing process.
When in the interviewing process, you do NOT want them to ask any questions. YOU want to be asking all of the questions and there is a reason for this.
The reason is is that who ever is in *control* of the conversation is the one asking the questions.
You want to portray your self as a leader right?
Do not show any signs of weakness in the interviewing process. Do not give your prospects control of the conversation.
Remember, you are the one that has a solution to their problems. You are spending your valuable time and money by making the phone call to them.
When sponsoring people it is crucial to have this mindset. If you do not, your prospect will sense that and they will subconsciously be turned off to what you have to offer them - just by the way you handled the conversation.
**Also remember that not everyone is right for your business. You can not be afraid to disqualify prospects. Do not be needy because that once again gives your prospects all of the power.
Once that neediness is gone, prospects will actually want to JOIN your business.
Think about it, people want what they can not have. If your prospects are under the impression that you may not want them in your business and that you will disqualify them if they are not good enough, they will be running to you credit card in hand.
Now that is just one of the many parts of attraction marketing. If you have any more questions involving attraction marketing or anything else you can shoot me a message.

Thank you for your insight on my article. When I said, let them ask quetions, I know I was not just thinking of the interview process, but the relationship process, which is follow-up and another phone call if necessary. It is developing a TRUSTING relationship and yes, I see where you would get the impression, you did. You are right, I thank you for your insight. I know the attraction marketing concept. The concept is leadership development, it is a Foundational Principle. I have an article that I wrote regarding this. I will post it. Point is: People are only going to do business with someone they trust and respect. Someone they feel can lead them to success. Thanks again for your imput. I appreciate it.
Multilevel Marketing
Therese Catanzano, I am 18 years old and a senior in Wallace-Rose Hill High School. In order to graduate I have to complete a graduation project. My topic is "Multilevel Marketing." In order to complete, my project I have to have a community mentor to help me. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a mentor that can help me. After reading your article, I realized that you know a lot about multilevel marketing. Do you know anyone in the area of Wallace, North Carolina, that can help me? This is every important because if do not complete the project I will not be able to graduate.
O OK!
Now that you clarified that the article was just kind of an overview of the whole process I understand where you are coming from. But anyone that reads what I wrote, that is an excellent tip for the interviewing process!
The time I allow my prospects to ask questions is after the interview a couple days later. I do this because I like to give my prospects a couple of websites to go to to do research themselves about our business and then they can ask me any questions that they want after that.
I believe that several good things come out of this:
1) It shows that you are not afraid to space yourself from them. This is a tactic of attraction marketing because if you are *willing* to give them space, they naturally want to come back to you.
2) The people that you want in your business are the people that are willing to do research for themselves and think for themselves.
3) Yeah sure you could tell them how great your opportunity that you are presenting them is, but if you show them a site where several people are explaining all of the advantages of this opportunity they will see that you are not the only one that believes in this opportunity. An outside source can do wonders for your business whether it is your up line on a three way call or a website.
