How Can You Get The Attention Of The Big Time Leaders Of The Industry?

People have been asking me this question a lot lately. The funny thing is that I never thought about it. I just do it. So, here I am exploring why is it that I seem to get more attention from others in this Industry (home business) when all things considered I myself am a relative newbie to the marketing world.
I realized not too long ago is all I did was implement exactly what I was told. About a year or so ago I noticed a rising star on Youtube. I didn't know much about this lady, only that she seemed to have a real good grasp on all this social media stuff. I started following her Youtube video posts and I came across one in particular...

These days my name gets mentioned in almost every one of her conference calls. It even gets spoken to people who are even bigger than her like http://joeschroeder.com
I have even had Joe call me on my cell phone and offer personal advice on my marketing and ad copy. I have had him publicly thank me on live conference calls.
How did I do it?
I was precise in my timing and carefully plotted my moves. You see, I am beginning to understand the nature of the psychology of people. The BIG GUNS are no different than everyone else, except people are always WANTING something from them.
I don't ask for much of ANYTHING from them. When I see that these people may be very busy because they just offered a ridiculous offer here is what I know happens. Everybody and their mother bombards them with questions and concerns, meanwhile....
Scott sits back, looks at the situation and asks one question that nobody else seems to want to ask.
What Is The Right Question To Ask?
Here it is and it is SOOOO Simple...
"What Can I Do To Help YOU?"
That's it.
Now, I offer to help these people with whatever I can, even if they don't need anything or help, who do you think that they remember when the noise all around them is ME ME ME?
Do you think I later get help from these folks?
You bet your ass I do.
I pay for a lot of training but I have to say some of the better stuff that I received came as a gift from someone else that I simply offered to help.
Now, I am not so sure if Diane Hochman considers me her "friend", you would have to ask her. One thing I know is that I certainly have some of her favor and I get rewarded because I simply walked up to the service door and walked right through it.
The fastest way to build a relationship is to offer your assistance. Provide value to people and they will share their wisdom with you.
That's all that I did.

I saw that video and admittedly at first I didnt understand much at the time because I was completely new 4 months ago. But Something I noticed as i progressed is that unless you make yourself known to others by HELPING others, People are more likely to look over you. Just something Ive learned from personal experience. Great stuff as usual Scott!
You GET what you Give...
For some insane reason the Universe LOVES to give back to people what they give to other people. Being a Go-Giver in a society of "What's In It For Me..??" folks...sets you heads and shoulders above everyone else. And...you get a whole lot of goodies in return...including attention from the people who you really want to notice you. GREAT share as always Scott !!
