Mindset and open mind.

Fellow Betternetworkers,

I said the other day that I gave up and I started thinking about the topic and what was said, then I have come to the conclusion that I am here for the long haul and we can share our points of view and also agree and agree to disagree in a very civil way and with points to back our or my mindset and an open mind to learn something new.

When I went to college, I attended a college in Western Michigan that has in it's title Liberal Arts college. Western Michigan is the most conservertive part of Michigan and if Liberal was or is such a bad word, why will this prestigeous college have it in it's title?

My understanding of the word is that it came from Latin and it means in short to be open minded. Any ways I look it up in the dictionary and this is what it says about it:

I know it is a long defination, but is it not the principles that the founding Father of  The United States Of America were built on? The lables are just ditractions to my opinion.
