Your network marketing business is dying and along with it so are your aspirations. Whenever you look around for somebody or something to find fault with, perhaps it would be wise for you to stop in front of the mirror and look at the individual looking back at you. In all probability the person you are looking at is the primary culprit in the demise of your network marketing business.

Let's be truthful. You didn't begin with the intention of killing your network marketing business. The day you said yes and pulled out your credit card, this was the furthest thing from your mind. You were intending to give this business everything you have. In fact your mind was already loaded with the names of individuals you knew you needed to talk to. You were going to reach your dreams and this business was the vehicle that was going to be taking you there.

Somewhere along the way something happened. The passion of joining quickly became the rude awakening of reality which then morphed into timid retreat. The result is desertion of the business. We explain the desertion by saying the company was flawed or the products were too expensive, but the truth is we are reluctant to accept responsibility for the consequences.

The good news is that the narrative does not need to end like this. In fact the outcome can be so radically different, if we will simply work with the attitudes within us that stand in direct opposition to all that we are working to accomplish. Thankfully these deadly attitudes are easily recognized and just as easily taken care of.

The first self-defeating attitude is the one that declares "I can't." Countless new network marketers enter the business and when they encounter their first major obstacle the words "I can't" make their presence known. The individual becomes persuaded that they have no ability to defeat the obstacle and instead of getting beyond it, they simply use it as their reason for failure. This attitude is particularly prevalent with regards to speaking to other people about your network marketing business. The fear of rejection comes flooding in and unless it is taken care of, the business may fail without a single person having been contacted with it. When this attitude is found living in the shadows of your mind, it is easily beaten by simply asking the question: "How can I?" This easy step will turn a negative absolute into an open field of endless opportunity.

Another familiar business killer is the attitude of lack. This is the mindset that says: "I can't afford it." When this attitude is present, the marketer is unwilling to make even the slightest investment into their business, simply using a shortage of money as the justification. Again it is tragic to see the number of businesses that are permitted to die without a single dollar having been spent to develop them. The solution to this mindset is to look at the tools and resources required for your business and then ask: "How can I afford this?" Just as before this shifts the frame of mind from a negative absolute to an open field of possibilities.

Naturally the key to avoid the premature death of your network marketing business is your commitment. When you make a commitment to see your business thrive, you then wipe out all excuses for its failing. You have decided to find solutions to every obstacle and problem you will come across. Without having deep rooted commitment, all other positive self talk will be rendered pointless and ineffective. So take a stand, look yourself in the eye and say these words: "You do not have permission to kill my network marketing business!"
