Are You Plugged In?
Most companies offer some kind of training. What is quite surprising, however, is how many people in the business do not take advantage of these training opportunities.
The training that is offered by most companies is free. In general, it is also done by people who have been around a while and know what they are doing. In many cases, you even have an opportunity to participate and ask questions. Why wouldn’t you take advantage of the opportunity to learn from the best?
The first and obvious answer is time. People in the organization just don’t want to take the hour or so out of their week to listen to training. This is either because they are genuinely strapped for time (or at least think they are), or the training is not offered at a time that works for them. The problem is that if you don’t take the time to learn how to do things right, you can spend a lot of time unlearning everything that you have done the wrong way and you will still have to take the time to learn how to do things right.
The second reason is either a conscious or unconscious belief that they can figure out how to do it themselves. After all how hard can it be? Plus you probably got a lot of information when you started in the business. Unfortunately, there are a lot of things in business; particularly network marketing that may not be all that straight forward. Plus the experts in the field can give you insights and tips that may not be available from any other source. Again, the opportunity to ask questions is invaluable.
Training can take many forms. There is product training. Never underestimate the value of learning about products. While that may seem easy, there are lots of things about products that again, may not be obvious. This can include information on the ingredients, uses for the product you may not have thought of, and selling points. If your company has a lot of products, it is even more important to continue to plug into product training since changes can occur frequently.
An equally important training involves learning how to use the systems that are offered by the company. Here taking advantage of the expertise can be a real time saver. Doing things right, learning the shortcuts, and taking full advantage of what support the company can offer can make the difference between a mediocre business and a growing and thriving business.
You are in the business, you have paid for these training opportunities, take full advantage and build your business!
Remember, if your sponsor or enroller is not plugged in keep moving up line to you find one that is and learn how your business should work to help you reach your "WHYs".
