Chase Your Dreams, Don’t Just Drift
It is a common occurrence for people to merely drift through life, and never achieve anything close to what they could describe as their dream existence. People fall for the trap of feeling like they are victims to their circumstances, and decide to follow the masses and live an ordinary life. People who lack vision, imagination and motivation are destined to live a life of struggle and worry.
No one can decide for you what your dream is, you need to think hard, and decide what your own personal dream is. A dream should not be confused with a goal, either. A goal is something that you would like to achieve in the future (such as completing a degree), but a dream is defined as a circumstance that would give you the ultimate satisfaction and happiness. Use your imagination to picture exactly what you want to create without limits, and imagine the riches of possibility.
Too many people have the opinion that they are not worthy or lucky enough to achieve their dreams, but this evil limited belief is the sole purpose why so many people never realise their full potential, and have no idea what they are really capable of creating. The question that you should be asking is if your dream is worthy of you? You are going to trade your life for it, with your time, focus, and attention.
To find out if the dream is worthy of you, you need to have a think about a few things. If you mentally and physically move into the dream does it make you feel alive, and does it get your adrenalin flowing? Is the dream in alignment with your core values, such as your integrity and personal beliefs? Do you need some help from a higher power to make the dream come true? Will my dream benefit others as well as myself? If you answered “yes” to all of these questions then the dream is worthy of you.
You only live once, so you may as well try to make the very best of it. Don’t settle for an average life of working for someone else, and then coming home to watch TV on the couch every day. Decide what you want as soon as possible, and spend each day moving closer to your dreams. Work out what you are passionate about and enjoy doing, and take action to make it happen. Dreams only become reality to those people that are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve them.
Once you have specifically pictured and written down your dream, you need to devise an action plan and TAKE MASSIVE ACTION. Make it an absolute “MUST”, not a “want” and hold the dream in your heart every single day. Feel the pleasure of the dream, not the pain of your current circumstances. If you put your mind to it, I am sure you will be absolutely amazed at what you are really capable of by applying focus and discipline. Don’t reach old age and wish that you had taken more risks and chased your dream. Make the most of every day, and live like it is your last!
