 THE PROBLEM BEGINS

One day after work, about 2 am, I saw an infomercial where Robert Kiyosaki was giving a talk about the financial principles that he lives by and gave birth to in his famous book Rich Dad Poor Dad.

That commercial made me remember that trading my time for money in a job, especially if I don’t love it, will never allow me to be prosperous and happy. It was then that I knew what to do. I decided to start my own online business…and this is when my real nightmare started

At the beginning, I started spending hundreds of dollars in e-books and e-courses; I joined some affiliations and I started to get bombarded with information about the “Best Next Thing” to make money and promote my business. I was putting advertising here and there but I was lacking of the most important thing: A PLAN.

<!--break-->

Things were not working out as I wanted. I really wanted to quit my job to follow my dream of starting my own online business, but I wasn’t doing too well in that department either. I was spending a lot more time and money than I expected, which is why I began to think that it would have been better just to work at my job.

I realized there were 2 main reasons why I was going all over the net spending time and money like crazy.

One, there is an overwhelming amount of information on the internet that you could swim in it. I was inexperienced and everything sounded amazing.

The second reason is that I was freaked out. I was getting buried in all this cyber clutter and bunch of e-books, courses, webinars and such. I was in a needy and obsessive mindset. I wanted to be perfect and have results fast at the same time. I was buying and trying all these courses, tools and resources. I was becoming a Network Marketing shopaholic.

After all those evenings and weekends of being apart from my family, I was desperate to find a solution, I wanted the nice house, the nice body, the time to be with my family, the freedom of doing what I wanted, but all I was doing was buying the dream, the promises, the ideal.

GLORY AND RESURRECTION

I knew I needed to stop and reevaluate my goals, values and the way I was doing things. I looked at what was good with my career at the time and then I started to refocus.

After a few years of struggling, I finally came back to my true path. I CHANGED my mindset. I discontinued the habit of surfing on the net and stop wasting my time in NO MONEY MAKING ACTIVITIES.

I sat back, took one step at the time, and started to apply what I have been learning. I stopped focusing on quick fix stuff and started working on my presence online. I changed my mindset from “what is there for me” to “how can I give value to you”. I started from the beginning (the best place to start lol).

I decided to learn one strategy, apply it and share it, and even better, I decided not to think about how much time that was going to cost me or how many things I have to do in order to learn, apply and share that strategy. I stopped thinking about the to-do-list and started to focus on my outcome.

I wanted to be a true network marketer and to show others how they can do this as a fulfilled career. This is my goal. This is my dream. That will be my outcome.

Once I understood my goal and the reason why I wanted it, my need of buying all these resources and e-books on impulse disappeared. These tools are very important, but only if you apply one strategy at a time.

I discovered how powerful the internet was and a way to fulfill my passion at the same time. Now, here I am, developing my online business with the goal of helping you to live your life to its full potential of achieving true freedom online.

Love and success,

Thanks

Hey guys,

As I was reading your post, I found myself thinking about how similar my mindset was when I started online.

Its too bad that more people that are starting out, don't get this type of insight on Day One. If they did, I'm sure that the "97% failure rate" that gets talked about all the time would soon be a thing of the past.

Thanks for your heartfelt and sincere thoughts.

Have a GREAT day,
Warren
