For those of you who do not know what autoship is, let me explain.  An autoship order is an order which is automatically sent to you month after  month.  The only way it changes is if you make changes to it either over the computer or by phone.  Network marketing companies found this method to be an excellent way to stabilize their business if they standardized a monthly shipment of their product to their representatives.  (Autoship was also a great method to guarantee a consistent flow of residual income without the fluctuations of representatives not placing orders and thereby reducing group volumes.)

How do you feel as a representative about your autoship program?  How do you feel driving down your street and looking at that box that was probably dropped off at your house by UPS as it sits next to your front door?

I will speak for myself having recently been involved with a juice network marketing company and seeing that case containing eight bottles of juice waiting for me really upset me.  Quite frankly I am unsure what upset me more: the $250 I spent on those eight bottles (or around $31/each) or the fact that I still had six bottles left from last month’s shipment.   (When I mentioned this to me upline, I was told to give the bottles away as samples.  SAMPLES???  $500 worth of samples from two auto-shipments?)

No one else is to blame for this except for me and my own lapse of sanity for not considering the autoship factor prior to joining.  No one held a gun to my head forcing me to elect the autoship option either, I totally selected this myself.

Before joining any network marketing company, be sure to ask about the autoship policy.  And be sure you know the type of product(s) that you are expected to purchase and distribute/consume.  Take it from me, trying to sell juice for $31 a bottle is nearly impossible to market…especially when you consider that you are expected to do this month after month after month.
