How inspiring.

Wow Mike 2 years? That is lightning fast in this biz. Way to go. I've followed you for quite awhile now and it's awesome to watch people grow. You and Dillard have really changed the way I do business. It was a struggle to learn how to really give without want. I knew I had to do it, but I thought it was really going to be difficult to change my mindset. Wow, am I glad that I did. It feels much better to just give. Who cares if I benefit. It's no longer about me.

It's about others. People can see that you really care. When they see that, they will trust you and the chances of doing any kind of business with them increases dramatically. It will more than likely turn into a long lasting relationship.

Thank you to all that have taught me to give without want.

Well Said

Troy, this is very well put--easy to see when someone authentically get it!

I'll re-post what you said here because its about as good as it can be stated--I encourage people to really ask themselves if they are applying this to the fullest degree or not, consistently:

"It's about others. People can see that you really care. When they see that, they will trust you and the chances of doing any kind of business with them increases dramatically. It will more than likely turn into a long lasting relationship."

The other element is merging this with marketing, copywriting (effective communication so people understand the value you offer and know how to access it).

But without the first, the second part (marketing) is a rough road.

Value System

Mike you are consistent, you care and it shows in your communications. You also have command of copywriting skills and allow people to discover how to magically manifest what they truly want in their life. You provide added value due to your determination and focus to be a "go giver"

It is all about participation and action. Well done!

Go-Giver

Mike, do you know any Mary Kay Ladies? Because we're all about giving...in fact, there's even an award for someone who gives just because she wants to. It's called Miss Go-Give!

Thanks for the good words about staying focused and being persistent.

Go -Giver

Mike, Your Go-Giver heart shows all the time, every time. There is never an article, an email, even a brief communique that doesn't have the Go-Giver embedded deeply. There were many points that you made that struck cords, and one of them was that you go at this with the go-getter determination and focus and it does literally hurt sometimes. The Go-Giver soothes and envigorates. Like yin/yang and like so many other things in life.

Like Tony commented, it can be a struggle to really give without want. We're taught so much to focus on what you want, focusing on how you give doesn't seem to come to light until you're not getting what you want.

Thanks, Mike, for shining light on the path.

Great message

Hi Mike,

I really enjoyed reading your message... you did an amazing job of really hitting home the importance of the Go-Giver mentality.

I've always lived by this philosophy... and reading the Go-Giver was what really cemented it for me in my business. I'm still contributing as much as possible, but I now find myself asking, "What would a Go-Giver do?" in any given situation... which helps remove any selfishness that may be lingering.

Giving in all areas of my life is certainly the most profound and fulfilling way to live that I have ever discovered.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom and words...

Here's to you!

Learn, Teach, Grow, Contribute

Mike,

This minset & mode of living reminds me of the saying"people don't care how much you know until they know how much care".

Having really gotten this "lifestyle" deeply embedded into my psyche 8 months ago has made a tremendous difference in the way I approach all my relationships.

This of course has transended into a growing online(and offline) business faster than I originally thought.

Mike , you were one of the major catalysts in my continuing evolment as a "Go-Giver".

You are the poster child for this philosophy and it clearly shows in everything you do.

My lifestyle, family & business are eternally grateful to you for who you are & what you do for the universe.

You are a blessing .

A Great Post Mike

I read the book numerous times. I think it's more important today than ever to approach business with a giving mindset. I'd recently written my first book and wasn't too sure what to do with it. Not a great buisness plan I know but writing a book has been a lifelong dream of mine so just completing it was my main drive. After reading The Go-Giver, I decided to give my book away for free. It was one of the best business decissions I'd ever made. I only hope now that the folks who are downloading it find inspiration and value in what I had to say. This is a great post and I'm confident that I too will be able to make a similar post soon enough.

Do unto others.....

Wonderful message, Mike, and as others have said your Go-Giver heart is as evident as your Go-Getter personality. I found you through Ann Sieg, and in the beginning I was a little skeptical about the two of you, but every line in every lesson, every tutorial bears out the honesty you bring to this business. Even the patience in your voice as you repeat the lesson for the newbies, one. more. time. "Do unto others" has always been a code to live by and is still true, no matter how you phrase it. It's a pleasure to belong to a community that embraces the Go-Giver mentality. Keep on sharing your philosophy with us. joymiles@cyg.net

Give, and it shall be given unto You

Such a truthful message,Hi Mike,I read a book that i aught to read more often and the author is a God,and awesome teacher to.And just to finish the subject line,it say's...good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. And when you give like what you have given, you "shall"100% word receive.

Be well and God bless.

This was great and filled with tons of tidbits. I've found the same with my business, I will add the Go-Giver to my must read list.

I Can Confirm What Mike Posted Here

Mike,

I am glad you said this here because you are so right. It has worked for me naturally over the many years I have been in this industry. I always enjoy helping others because I enjoy seeing others grow, learn and enjoy the same lifestyle I get to enjoy. I also learn from them so much of the time that it becomes a win/win for everyone.

I know this is hard for some who are desperate to earn an income ASAP to pay bills that may be pressing, but it comes back to you many times bigger if you follow Mikes' advice here and give value first.

Because of working this way over the years, when I do offer something that cost money, many people take me up on the offer simply because it was me offering it. That's powerful and even beats a great sales letter.

Great Post Mike, love the article it is so true

I was fortunate enough to be approach by my business partner earlier in the year about one of the biggest social problem in this country. Since then, my JOB went bankrupt and I was able to donate my time to the non profit organization we created. No compensation of course but I was able to work on some training and websites that have helped many in the community and soon to reach many around the country. http://www.rffdads.org (How Father Absence Impacts our Youth)

Thank You Mike for Inspiring Me

Thank you for your great article it inspired me but it was also very timely because only yesterday I had received some very negative comments from one of my uplines, in regard to what I am learning.

Your article confirm to me that I am on the right path and heading in the direction I want to go. I have been enjoying the instructions and guidance that you have been giving through the tutorials. Yes at times it is hard work and yes at times I have been challenged however I get a buzz when I look and can say I did that.

Thankyou again for sharing and giving to the community and to people to help them find their success as well.

That's What Makes This Network Marketing Industry So Great...!

It was once said that "Network Marketing is right for everybody, but not everybody is right for Network Marketing!" I believe that the right kind of people are those who love to give and contribute to others and see them succeed!

So proud to be around like-minded people like Mike Klingler!!!

Eye Opening

Thank-you. Your post has put everything together for me. A true eye-opening experience.

I am new to the business and have been struggling for a direction. I say new, but I have been attempting to get something to work for several years now with next to no success. I am classic opportunity bouncer.

I have always known that giving was the key but got too caught up in the need to make money first. WRONG.

I just today gave away an old bike rather then trying to make a couple bucks. Nothing felt better.

Mike, thank you again. I now have a clear picture. Between you and Mike Dillard the veil has been lifted.

I refuse to give without want.

Thanks for the valuable post, Mike.

The shortest cut from A to Z is... the darn straight line. :(

Giving without want. :(

Not what those of us looking for a short cut were hoping to hear. :D LOL!

(just kidding.)

I submit that there is never true giving without want.

But there is unselfish giving.

1 - Maybe you're giving because you want to build your value (the best way to learn, is to teach)

2 - Maybe you're giving because you want to build trust with a specific group of people (note that Mike focused his giving)

3 - Maybe you're giving because you want to establish credibility.

4 - Maybe you're giving because you want to attract other givers.

5 - Maybe you're giving because you want to see others succeed. Knowing that if you are instrumental in their success, they will be instrumental in yours.

Maybe there are lots of other reasons that can be called unselfish giving.

But the honest truth is that every one of us wants something.

The trick is to not be selfish about it. :)

But it also helps to know what you want.
I find that a number of my friends not in Internet Marketing or MLM can't understand why I put so much value on my web sites, for free. They don't get why I give it all away.

They don't get why anyone would apparently give without want.

But the reasons explained above, and others, are what I want in exchange for my giving.

And that's okay. I think.
Because they're unselfish reasons.

It takes a real personal journey of evolution and growth, to go from selfish to unselfish giving.

None of us can read about it, and then just get there. We have to go through the journey.

We have to give,

and then give,

and then give...

and then get nothing back...

and then want to give up,

and then dust ourselves off, and give some more

And by the time we DO start getting back the tangible things that "selfish givers" desire (monetary benefits)...

The intangible gifts listed above would long have blessed us, and transformed us.

We all admire Mike's giving.
But it took him many years, I'm sure, to get there.

Here's to our own individual journeys of unselfish giving.

And here's to your rat race escape

I love being a Go-Giver

Thanks for this great post Mike and I also enjoyed reading all the comments.
Be a Go-Giver and you can't help becoming a Go-Getter. It's just one of the laws of life.
