The First Challenge Isn't The Lack of Money..(Mindset)

"Oh, I need money, I need tools, I need this and that before I can ever start.."
And...they never start.
I'll show you ideas and examples I am planning and have done.
It's all about how you think. The mindset of being able to "do" without the thought of "I need." Or that you lack anything because anything can be learnt, developed, attracted.
I know it sounds cliche, I know but look - you are an amazing human being. I can sit with you, in one hour, and I guarantee, with what you know, and people you know, and resources out there - you have a wealth that you don't know.

They may rethink with $10.00 but $5.00, noway if you give value. If you..

- Reveal it as a gift and outrageous value
- And hook it in the backend with 3 offers.
- One offer is the Free CD or training videos
- Second offer is the decoy that is daft and won't go for
- Third is the $5.00 offer of valuable training.
What do you need?
- Capture page
- Free off and instead of saying free, change it to Try Now Buy Later.
- It gets rid of tire kickers and mentality that want free. You prepare them.
- Sales letter that don't bore them to death
- Upsell
- The added $5.00 monthly course that gives them ownership
Simple right? Yet, how many doing it?
It don't work?
Take a look at BN Ambassador forum membership. How much is it at this moment? Not $50.00 but those who joined first, it is $9.00 for life!
It's something that people feel part of and the retention is higher.
Get the idea? Why complicate it and get it done. Small steps are powerful. The part people cannot say no because who the heck will miss $5.00!
And you have a lot to give.
You have humour. You have experiences. You have a story and most of all, you know people of different backgrounds, skills. You have knowledge and even if you're "newbie" you still can give.
You have people you can tap into. Then there's businesses, organisations and all want to raise their profile.
But love your audience, do different to what 95% do. Give value and no spamming and heavy hitting on products. Make the money and give it back to your audience. Reward them and watch what happens.

Let's begin in providing the story how it started offline and also what's happening now, in this present day. The year is 2004 and how it started with...small steps and..
I had only these things....
- A wooden floor to sleep on
- A fridge that would work when it wanted to
- A note Pad
- Two pens
- No computer or laptop
- No printer
- Just my mind.
- And my physical body
- No prior knowledge!

As I was sitting on floor that had no carpet, next to my bed which was a matress on the floor and the blanket was a sleep bag, I asked myself these questions..
- What's my challenge?
- What's the solution? It came...
- What could I trade?
- I had skill, knowledge in design
- I had knowledge in dealing with printing companies
- I had knowledge creating an idea to a printed finished design and dealing with customers in past
I got the Yellow Pages and wrote down 25 printing companies and the blue print from what I am going to do to make the idea of a newspaper happen. It be the first of it's kind in our city.....
- I visited 25 printers that print usual business stationary stuff. magazines, brochures etc.
- I said, "I'll bring you new customers and because I'm a designer already, dealt with customers, I know the process and can deal with customers to the finish."
- And In return "you give me a cut from every sale. No sale, no cut for me because you're not making profit. What have you got to lose?"
This never works for a mindset that says...
"I got to have money first and then I'll do it." Or, "I work and then you pay me end of the month because I got bills to pay.."
This is how immigrants came to UK and did the job. They knew 99% would not go to a company and say..
"I'll get you the customers, you don't pay me until they pay. Deal?"
"Alright buddy! Deal!"
"Spit and shake on it!"
Deal done.
This is how anyone with a mindset and true and I really mean, the true understanding of giving without want. It takes time to just understand this principle but let's move on...
Step Two...Target And Build Relationship
- I went to every meeting I could find, that community organisations go to
- Then got to know each person responsible for managing the project
- I build relationship with each one
- I asked, what their needs are and boy was I in for it because the complaints I listened to was just so many.
Some were....
- "We have budget but we have been messed around by printers and they don't deliver on time."
- "Plus I'm so busy and well, other staff are dealing with other things we need to take care of, even though we know how important marketing is.."
- "Do we really need marketing?"
- My reply, "Do you really need more customers?"
Step Three...Explain Back Their Immediate Need Better Than They Can..
The more we listen, the more we see the other side of someone's world and their problems. We can act like a jerk and pitch or provide a solution that will build the trust of a lifetime. You choose. Hero to your customer or someone to avoid everytime you call or arrive at their door step.
So I said..
"If I take care of the time, the messing around with printers, and you get your marketing material to your table on time, would this help you?"
Step Four...Let Your Prospects Do The Work In Spreading News About You..
I got the deal and the 50% deposit.
Made one client happy and they spread the word. Now imagine, how you can play this online too. Make one happy and they tell the world.
Not go and be friends with everybody and anyone else, for the sake of making them happy. Make one happy and the word spreads like fire. It also takes one word online about how crap the service or product is and it catches fire. So keep your ears to the ground. Google Alert and Twitter.
For one months I did this and got paid and the bigger the order, the bigger the cut.
On and January I had the following:
- Computer delivered from USA and I didn't pay...a penny.
- Printer. I didn't pay a penny
- Two more computers. I didn't pay a penny
- Drawing board. I didn't pay a penny

Step Five...Talk Is Cheap - Action Is Gold!
On Feb 2005, what was seen as impossible to my friends, and business advisors, was posted through their door...

A full colour newspaper, designed in a magazine format and the word spread like fire. I could not stop what came next.
The phone calls came from people wanting to write. Business advisiors wanted to give money so they don;t look stupid for saying it doesn't work and get left out.
Government officials wanted to know more. City Council wanted a cut in advertising in the newspaper. The work needed...
- I went and interviewed experts
- Interviewed business to promote and celebrate their success
- I took the photographs
- I typed everything, laid it out, designed
- Ready for the printers and burnt it on CD to get it printed..

PS...I didn't pay a penny for printing! Here's why...
- Printers said.."we'll give you 2 months to not pay for printing."
- It took one week to pay the printers because in next issue, organisations wanted to advertise.
- And this newspaper was given for free. Even City Council couldn't compete.

Consistency Is An Important Part Many Miss..
Yes, consistency. Below is issue two and the issues kept flying through.

Here's a thought..
I get a lot of people asking for joint ventures and 99% of them are not consistent. They do not stay in touch, they have an idea and don't run with it, their launch is in shambles, and it doesn't look good.
Imagine if my newspaper, said, "every two months" and it came out every six months. People won't trust it. They see a lack of consistency and consistency is vital in business, in life, and in dealing with people, building relationships.
It reveals one thing - lack of integrity and words are cheap. Be consistent and don't over promise if you think you can't deliver. I'd rather under promise and over deliver.
Your Work Will Attract Influential People...
For example, in my meetings, I met Cat Stevens, top musicians, millionnaires to multi millionnaires, radio managers, directors, CEOs, to even people like Janis F. Kearney, the author of a book called Cotton Field Of Dreams.She didn't come from a wealthy family but a history of challenges, and lived in an era where Cotton was king. She worked her way up and worked as a fromer Diarist to Clinton. So I met interesting, influential people.
And...runs her own newspaper.
This newspaper which I didn't sell but gave for Free, started in one city, and yet, attracted people from around the world. That's when I saw Attraction Marketing working it's power and it started on floor, sitting on a mattress, with a note pad, a pen and an idea + desire.
Imagine what you can do. Just imagine.

So now, turn this around and we use the internet.
- Again, we see a market niche. Is it profitable
- I don't have to go out and travel. I can use the internet to observe and identify.
- We know who the prospects are, where they from and what they immediately need.
- I test things out see if the information I've gathered really has substance
- Now, I figure out how to really tighten the qualifying process
Note - this is the part where so many miss. They chase every lead, go for everyone and then tell me, on the phone, "Adam I get so many people in the network and.."
"Don't tell me numbers. Tell me if they respond?"
"Well, the truth is 95% don't. Actually, not many on my list does. I'm barely making money."
So qualify, don't be scared to qualify, don't waste time with tired kickers. Qualify, tighten it through the whole process, and even on your headline, copy and video, and also getting them to pay for shipping too!
- Create a capture page explaining the secret ingredient that will solve an immediate challenge.
- You're going to provide them free content as a CD, or newsletter, or book.
- They pay for shipping.
- Remember, emotional first, logic comes second in people's minds.

- They fill in details and it takes them to the next page which provides them valuable content.
- If they want ALL the secrets then they need to check their email box and confirm. And they can get the Free CD with all the secrets.
- As you can see below, my second page thanks them, but also educates how to confirm. Image a bit blury cause I reduced the size to upload here on BN..

- When they confirm then they come to the sales letter page revealing the secret and about the Free CD and ebook and other bonuses which is a membership site.

- The prospects pays for the shipping of that Free CD or DVD, or book. Or newsletter or magazine.
- On that CD are valuable content to help them but also, you can now introduce other backend products, or to visit your site for more info. This CD raises your authority but what raises it more is what people say about you.
I have zoomed in to show you something of importance. These are two parts..

- Above you see, I have branded me, not company, not product.
- Revealing my story, highlighing the challenges the prospects face but entwining it within my story.
- Below you see other photos of my own magazine, newspaper, newsletters and novel book my wife is holding..

The Upsell...
Here is where you can reveal more of the backend products. Just don't go crazy. Focus on that which is relevant and will help your prospect even more.
- It can be a magazine, a book, a DVD set, or your Membership site..courses...
They will get the Free CD or DVD but they are at a point that they may also purchase your magazine too. Or may feel a great need to have training now.
You can provide a 30 days trail or 60 days. I'm doing 30 days free trial plus other bonus related to their needs.

- To compete, just add more value, relevant training, or relevant bonuses filled with content to help your prospects to solve the immediate challenges.
Why Your Prospects Pay For Shipping?
Ok, listen friend. When you value what you have, then you want to attract people who strongly desire what you have, and who are serious and not tired kickers, and a waste of time.
By getting your prospects to pay for shipping instead of playing desperate like most do, you are tightening the qualifying process. Heck, I even mention this on my video which I'm launching. It's going to be right, smack on my capture page.
And the tired kickers, the ones who want all free and no committment, who search the internet to pay nothing, forever, will run and dissappear when I say..
"...And all you pay for is the shippping!"
When someone pays for the shipping, they are telling you they have taken that extra step. Their mindset is different. They shown something that says, "I really need help. I need this information to move forward!"
Most will apply what's on your CD or DVD and most won't. You can only do your best to share your gift, your knowledge but don't be a sap and a sucker.
Get people to pay for the shipping.
If you're into skin care then get people paying for the sample delivery and not you. Be a business owner and get rid of these tired kickers who will be in your sales funnel and do nothing.
The Downsell...
Now if some turn back button, you can downsell, and have another page open to provide them immediate free download content of the CD for $1 or $5 instead of paying for shipping of the CD.
Or you can have another page open, which is a capture with different video revealing a 30 minute valuable content and have your prospects opt in for a download.
That download can be an ebook, with valuable information and it will have a link right back to the money page or your blog.
- Whenever your prospects goes to the payment page, have a video there, assure, or share about a money back guarantee.
- Aso, have your magazine or newspaper there, or membership site free trail offer for them to have final chance to purchase. They may purchase more. It's a lost opportunity if you don't use it.
I'll be updating this article with more tools. There's so many I use out there and ideas to cut costs and to work fast by outsourcing.
Upsell or the Trojan Horse Marketing..
- They go for the Free CD
- You have a course membership
- You have another one with is $5.00 a month of valuable training
They choose that $5.00 a month. And if you have 1,000 prospects paying $5.00 a month, then that's...$2500! Calculate that for 12 months. You get the idea.

Autoresponders...
While all this is happening, my autoresponder has triggered and it has started the ball rolling in sending the first email. I have all the emails ready. So the emails would be...
- Thanks and Confirmation that they Opted in
- Email congrats and provides valuable content and link to the Free CD page
- Then the rest of emails, 3 times a week and sometimes more with valuable content
What do I use for autoresponder. I've tried different ones and I have gone for Aweber.
I like Aweber because they consistently provide training but I also create video tutorials for people who do purchase aweber from my own link. That way, I can help people more than just giving them a link and...they also become great friends, and customers too.
It's a powerful tool when used right. It's a tool I love using because it has given me the opportunity to plan, automate and enrich the lives of people with valuable content.
I teach and I'm asleep or having time with my family but it's power is also in testing what works, evaluating and consistently sharpening this powerful tool to gain a higher response rate. I love it. Simple to use.
They Package Your Products And Even Deliver To Your Customers...
Where To Upload Your Information Products..
You can upload the graphics, the audio or DVD content to www.lulu.com
You can also use this kunaki.com and both calculate for one CD or as many as you want.
Lulu.com does more in a sense of magazines, newspapers, newsletters, books. Kunaki does CDs and DVDs.
So imagine, you record an audio of 60 mins of an interview or a telesiminar that has value, and you have a product. You don't need to be an expert if you're just starting off.
There are plenty of people you can interview in your industry. You can use this free software audacity if you wish to record your own voice. I even used a computer microphone and got a customer interviewed as I kept the telephone near the microphone.
Use what you have. Don't let anything like, "I haven't got thousand pounds stuff, and a hot microphone, and a screen background!"
Use what you have now and later, these will come. Don't make this complicated. It's simple and you don't need to make it big. Start small.
People need your interviews, your novels, your book, your magazine, newsletter. It can make a helluva difference to their life!
For camera when I wanted to do DVDs of me doing presentations, talking...I used the camera on my banger of a mobile phone.
Can you believe that? I just used what I had guys. I didn't care what someone thought of me. My passion and desire just wouldn't let me slow down.
If I let anything stop me, then it's over. So start with what you got. Sure, I got a lot of gear now but it didn't start that way.
Just do it and keep focused, and this will happen...
- The money will come
- The right people will come
- Tools will come
- And so on...but you have to...start and start now!
You can upload your product and graphics to be packaged and delivered on sale on demand at different online services.
And because your customer pays for the shipping, your not out of money. Remember, this is a powerful way to raise your authority and trust with your prospects.
But also lead them to future backend products or opportunies. You can apply it to ANY business!
Important To Do
It's important and for peace of mind, to order your product. Order when you have uploaded to these sites and see the quality, and everything is ok. That's what I did and below is a photo of ordering my Newspaper which I made into a magazine format.

Do yourself a favour. When you make the money, do what I do. Outsource! Use that money, and find prospects in your followers who has a skill, and pay them.
Put the money right back and circulate it. Watch how your authority rises and the way suddenly see you in a different light.
Give without want and reward your prospects and your customers. Send them value through post. Make them smile. When you got the monies pour it right back in. Change their lives, change the industry of Internet Marketing, Network Marketing and MLM forever.
This how you change the world and show leadership.
This is one of my goals out of many. This is one goal that so excites me, and I cannot wait when I can give ownership to my loyal prospects and customers, and team.
Get all your prospects feeling they have changed the world and say..
"You're money, is going to a good cause. We're going to help some kids have a home. Thank you!"
Then do it, and photograph it and send it to all your customers and give them ownership! Let them feel good about themselves. Let them have ownership. Let them have fun and grow to love what you do!
Never Be Too Busy For Family...
- What's money when you can't even share it with those you love.
- What's a dream when you have no one to share it with?
- Let the money free you with time to nurture your family and bring much love
- Let your children taste the beauty of the world
- Be an example to the community you live in and be proud of what you all achieved.
Conclusion...
It doesn't take money. If it did, I wouldn't be where I am today.
It takes mindset and the rest will come.It takes belief and action, and the result will come.
Just start. Start with a desire, that's burning, and do something. Do it, start. Be passionate. Go for it! Apply and be creative. Change the world by being the change.

It says FREE, this is in year 2005.
Hint...give without want.
Attraction marketing works and have been for centuries. Even if you weren't in business and going for a job. You can step ahead of all these degree students with this law..
