IF A CRITIC OF YOUR HOME BASED ONLINE BUSINESS HAPPENS TO BE A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER?

As entrepreneurs in the field of internet marketing we are always going to come up against the disapprovers, the nay Sayers, the detractors, the belittlers, the doubters and the worriers! This is a fact of life because this industry is new, it is different, it is incredibly successful and it is completely unfathomable to some people.

It is much easier to stand on the sidelines and criticize than it is to actually research what real and successful online marketing businesses are all about. It is much easier to call all network marketing businesses a scam, a rip-off or even a pyramid scheme. It is easier to assume that there is no such thing as a legitimate internet business opportunity.

Let me make a couple of things very clear.

If internet marketing is a scam do you think Warren Buffett - the most successful business entrepreneur ever - would be buying up online marketing companies?

If it was a rip-off would Donald Trump have his own internet marketing network and would he be saying that if he had the chance to start his business career again he would start with network marketing?

Would Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump have devoted an entire chapter to network marketing in their new book "Why We Want You To Be Rich" when no other business model warrants an entire chapter?

According to Forbes magazine 79 million Americans will start a business in the next 3-5 years with a substantial slice going to the online business sector because of it's low start-up costs and high and rapid return on investment.

OK, now the problem for you is a friend or worse still a family member is skeptical about the online business industry. You are hearing either directly or through others that this person thinks you should stop wasting your time, you should wake up and get a real job, you should stop being so gullible. They are vocal in their berating of internet scams even though they have no real knowledge of how the internet works or how many standard businesses could benefit substantially by adopting even a small percentage of the techniques developed by top performers in the industry. They may have even filled in an opt-in form to find out more about the crazy thing you are involved with. Of course they are getting your autoresponder emails and are unaware you know they are in the system! And each time they read the information in the emails it seems to confirm to them that it is all a load of rubbish. No one could make large sums of money online that quickly with a marketing system...surely.

So, what do you do?

You have a couple of choices really. The first thing you should do is ignore them. Don't try to defend what you do if they confront you. Prove them wrong, preferably in a really big way with your results. Use their negativity as a catalyst to be even better at what you do and to be even hungrier for success. Don't ever quit!

The second thing you can do is what I have done here. Write articles, blog posts and other content and use all of those tags or keywords like scam, pyramid scheme, legitimate business etc and get your material found on the search engines so you can sell even more of whatever product line you market.

I like the idea that not only will a doubter make your resolve stronger but you are able to use this creatively to actually bring benefits to your successful online home business in increased traffic and sales.
