If You're Not Careful, You'll end up Poor by Default!
I rarely get into arguments anymore simply because of the futility of the experience. It's a complete waste of energy. All you end up with is one person with an inflated ego, and the other with a deflated ego.
But anyway, I remember a time when I had an argument with a friend of a friend about capitalism versus socialism, and which is better for the people.
I'm a capitalist at heart. I don't believe socialism or communism works. In my opinion, true capitalism is the only system that allows anyone, regardless of race, creed, culture or financial circumstance to prosper. It's a level playing field.
That was my argument.
And it really ticked him off because this guy's version of capitalism was all about monopolies, corporate greed, plunder, and making as much money as possible without giving a damn about anything else.
He was pleased that the Global Financial Crisis would mark the beginning of the end of capitalism and free enterprise. God forbid if that ever happens...
I don't blame him for having these distorted views. They are a result of a lifetime of lack programming. Like many people who are financially and spiritually poor, he knew that the rich were greedy and corrupt.
In my last post, I discussed how your environment can have a huge impact on your success. Today I want to expand on that by discussing subconscious programming.
Until you really look into it, you have no idea just how much you're being programmed by society to be poor.
The education system only trains you to live a monotonous life physical or mental labour. A dumbed down media wants you to feel like a victim of everything. Religions preach that money is the root of all evil. Theater and movies often convey subliminal messages glorifying the nobility of being poor and the corruptness of being rich.
Randy Gage wrote a book titled Why You're Dumb, Sick & Broke... And How to Get Smart, Healthy & Rich.
In it, he describes Titanic as being the most evil movie ever filmed because of the level after level of subconscious programming that money is bad, rich people are snobs, and it's spiritual to be poor.
And with the most successful film in recent times Avatar, it's the same subliminal message of how a greedy corporation comes in and grabs whatever it wants without any consideration of other people or the environment, just because it wants to make as much money as possible.
The mind is like a computer. A computer will only do what the software installed on it tells it to do. Likewise, your perception of the world, and what you think is possible is only as good as your programming.
Most people have never really learned how to think critically, which is why their perception of what's possible is so narrow, and why they think it's bad to be rich, and good to be poor.
My mentor Michael Dlouhy says whether your conscious of it or not, your mind is being programmed every hour of every day. He always says "You might as well program it yourself, because you will do a better job."
To become prosperous, you have to become prosperity conscious. This is why absorbing good information that expands the mind is so important.
