Charles Kirkland talks about Integrity in Network Marketing

I receive a LOT of email newsletters. I like to read them, and I gain some great insight about the network marketing and internet marketing industries (in most cases). I particularly like those authors that give great content without the “spam” that is far too rampant in the online community today. 

Because there are so many folks that are sharing their expertise without asking anything in return, I’m going to “pay it forward” by blogging about the content in these newsletters and the value that I’ve received from them. 
 
Today’s featured author is Charles Kirkland. charles@seocodebreaker.com He writes about an experience he had in Karate class that really touched him. In the class, every month the students pick a word to learn and to put to good use.
 
Charles thought that this might be a good idea in the internet marketing community as well, and he picked his word for the month which is: INTEGRITY. I really liked the quotes he included to back up the importance of this often stated but not much practiced word:

Integrity is important in any kind of marketing, including internet marketing. Sure, it may not get you to the top of Google on day one, but it will keep you there once you have built that reputation for yourself.
 
As marketers, we all have a responsibility to share products and promotions that can solve a need for others. Products that are sub par and pricing that is unfair can do much to hurt our good reputation. For long term sustainability in our online community, we all need to guard our good name with everything we have. We may not always do the right thing, but we can always MAKE IT RIGHT – and that’s integrity.
 
It takes years to build up a reputation of integrity and only a single unethical action that can destroy it. You may never recover, so why not just keep on high ground. After all, when you always tell the truth, you don’t have to remember what you said!
 
Charles ends his newsletter by encouraging everyone to add “integrity” to your own “word of the month” and live by that that. If you do, you will never have to worry about the income coming in.
