Mindful Networking – Turning Presence into Powerful Success

Read More: Mindset

being mindful in network marketingBeing in the moment, making the most of each and every opportunity, is something to which we should all aspire. It is going to help us in life, and in our business.

It will increase our luck, in that we’ll make the most of every opportunity that presents itself, many of which would otherwise go unnoticed.

It will improve our relationships, making them more honest and fulfilling.

Making the most of ourselves is where it begins. Mindfulness and presence requires being in touch with your inner core and integrating that with your every action.

We need to not only recognize our strengths so that we can utilize them to our advantage, but to also recognize the strengths in others, so that we can best help them.

Mindful networking requires being completely authentic, transparent, and empathetic in your relationships.

Being conscious of those around you, listening and reading between the lines for what they need while being honest with yourself and centered with who you are is what facilitates mindful networking.

But honesty with one’s self is sometimes more challenging than we think.

It requires some reflection, self analysis, and getting in touch with our dreams, what will actually fulfill us in life, our β€˜why’.

This will be the glue which holds us to our goals when our plans seem to be wavering or require adjustment. It will keep us centered in our actions each and every moment.

Dream Big!

The dream, what really drives our will to succeed, what we want most out of life for ourselves and for our loved ones, will give us the fuel to continue when the going gets tough.

And having this dream deeply embedded in our subconscious mind is the key.

Training your subconscious mind requires filling it constantly and purposefully with positive thoughts and emotions, visions that your dream is real, so that it will become real.

We need to be dreaming night and day, visualizing ourselves in our achievements, and integrating that into the present.

But some people have difficulty with focus in the moment, given the common level of stress and busy schedules we all face.

How can we focus on our long term goals while we are at work, fighting traffic on the way there or on the way to somewhere else we have to be, or juggling the other schedules we have to maintain?

By having your dreams and goals be a part of you, they define the framework by which you operate and take action.

Having presence of mind, an awareness of your inner self at every moment, is really crucial to maintaining the focus on your β€˜why’. It is key.

It will have you thinking about how every single thing you do is part of your path to success.

Where you are in the moment is the easiest thing to see, and what is most challenging to really see is where you want to be when your current circumstance is what you don’t want.

What IS important is that you bring your most inner dreams and aspirations into the now, into what you are doing at this moment, while visualizing where you are going.

If you continually project your goals, aspirations and dreams onto your present state, you should be lifted to a new level of consciousness.

You may be in a full time job and/or raising a family while working your network marketing business.

And while you are at work, or juggling your finances or kids’ schedules, your current world has taken over, the one in which you have to control now, and the other side of the day seems far from your mind. But are our goals and dreams on hold?

Have you thought about how something you are experiencing during this day actually correlates to working your business, either in the way of marketing or, in particular, relationships?

Are you really listening to people enough to think about how you may be able to help them?

Laser Focus

If you have internalized your goals, then it will be easy to remain focused on them, and at any given second apply your current situation to those parameters to make the best of both.

Every spare moment you have can be used wisely. Add those up and you may find more available hours per week that you can put to work. Some might say it’s being β€˜All In’.

For example, while standing in line at the grocery store you can be thinking about who you need to call next when you get a chance, or what you can write about in your next blog post.

Or you can be listening to training or audio books while you are stuck in traffic.

Or your family might pitch in for cleaning up dinner dishes while you take care of some calls. Or you can have a family meeting about how you need such support. The list goes on.

But mostly, if you are focused on your dreams and how you will be getting there, then the how becomes part of your every moment. It keeps you going, in the game.

Any given situation may present opportunities. Make sure they don’t slip by you unnoticed by being focused on your goals to the degree that you don’t have to think about them.

If your dreams are internalized then they do more than motivate you during difficult times, they drive your actions to the point that you see those opportunities where you may not have before.

And maintain a focus on your primary business activities, as well as on your marketing message. These too are crucial to the success of mindful networking.

Are you really building relationships ? Providing value in your marketing efforts? Creating know-like-and-trust? Have you identified what your target market or primary business activities are ? Do you have a business plan?

Now then, do you think it might be the time to regroup, focus, and internalize your goals and dreams so that you become more mindful and present in your activities and in your networking?

Wishing you Every Success!

BEING MINDFUL OF YOUR DREAMS AND BELIEVE IN THEM

Vikki, brilliant article. "The DREAM, what really drives our will to succeed, what we want most out of life for ourselves and for our loved ones, will give us the fuel to continue when the going gets tough." This whole article was excellent. I can remember when I first started network marketing some time ago, I didn't dream, I didn't know how to dream, really! Everyday was the same. I was so programmed and thanks to my mastermind team and especially Juanita Waterman, I can dream and I have dreams. Thank you for the value in this article. Great, great article.

A long post, Vicki, but...

...well worth the time! For me, this is the heart of the message: "If your dreams are internalized then they do more than motivate you during difficult times, they drive your actions to the point that you see those opportunities where you may not have before. And maintain a focus on your primary business activities, as well as on your marketing message. These too are crucial to the success of mindful networking." Thank you for sharing! :-)

Great Article Vicki !

Thank You for this article Vicki.
I have been a Dreamer for as long as I can remember but in today's day and age it is not the easiest thing to accomplish.
We have so many different companies to choose from in order to help us to achieve our dreams but unless we choose the right one our dreams can be fizzled away. I am so Glad that I found the right company I Am Truely Blessed.

Great post, Vicky!

Awareness is a key to success in our business lives and personal lives.
Reading your article reminded me of the time I've read the book ''The Power of Now'' By Eckhart Tolle.

Focus our thoughts on the Now, Live each moment to the fullest

Vicki, thank you for the very thought provoking article. I too was reminded of the book, The Power of Now, you actually helped me understand it better. We miss so much if we are always living in the past and/or the future. We have to train our subconscious mind as well as our conscious mind to pick up on the many little significant details of the Present Now, when we do that we do become focused. When we use our self talk to help train our subconscious mind,it helps our goals to become more attainable. We will also pick up on more of the opportunities that we may not have noticed before, as we focus on the Present Moment. There's more to that phrase, "Stop and smell the flowers", then most of us realize.
Wishing you all inner peace and great success.

Mindful Networking ------ Turning Presence into Powerful Success

Hey Vicki thanks for the reminder I have the challenge of staying on task in the present, with my corporate background I was always planning for the next this the next that and sometimes missed the opportunities right in front of me. Planning is essential but for me I would become obsessed with it and have to come back to the present to clear my head. The WHY is The WHY!

Don't slough this article off..especially newbies!

Coming from a "0" on the success scale of 1-10 in the past I will say definitively that self help ,inspirational info, good stuff in good stuff out...or whatever we call it, is THE NUMBER ONE THING TO PURSUE!
All parts of my life are better since I start every day with reading "good stuff."
I have for years.
Your article covers that fantastically.
Thanks for leading Vicki.

You Definitely Do Have To Be Lazer Focused

One definitely must be lazer focused at all times. You have to be in the now to listen to what is being said. When you are unable to understand something ask.
