Is Network Marketing a Scam?
This is a legit question by someone who has never heard of this industry or who has no experience with it. This question is common among prospects that you may encounter, especially those with negative attitudes. You may hear some of the following questions or comments...
"The only people that make money in MLM are the ones at the top"
"I don't want to have to meet every week at one of those sleazy hotels"
"You only want me in so you can make lots of money off me"
"Why don't they just market their products in stores like other companies do?"
"My Uncle Bill lost $1000 in one of these scams"
Do any of these sound familiar? I have heard many more but these stick out in my mind as some of the funniest ones.
The simple answer is NO, network marketing is not a scam. Most people assume this because they may have been involved with one or know someone who has been involved that either lost money or made no money at all. Therefore, they assume that it's a scam. Negative people will always find something bad to say about great opportunities. Don't let these people destroy your efforts, simply move on. There's no use in even trying to explain how network marketing works to these idiots.
Network marketing is one of the greatest industries in the world and aside from the ministry, it touches more lives than any other. There are too many good stories for this business to be a scam. I have been involved with multiple companies over the past 10 years and I can say for myself that this industry is absolutely the real deal!
