Network Marketing = Slacking Off, Getting Rich Quick, While Others Do YOUR Work!?

Read More: Mindset

Hey what’s going on? Landon Stewart here. This is actually my very first article that I have written directly for the BetterNetworker. I can honestly say that I am excited just to be in the presence of such great marketers.

I must have been living under a rock for the past 2 years to never hear about the BetterNetworker. I might have heard of it, but I sometimes have the problem of hearing one thing in one ear, and having it shoot right out through the other.

But hey, better late than never right?

I thought for my first article here I would just share my biggest pet peeve of network marketing.

It’s simply just a little ad that you see every once in a while. You might have noticed it, but maybe not.

It’s the google adwords ad that goes along like this:

[Company name]
Don’t worry about working
We do all of the sponsoring for you

Now that ad above is not word for word of course. That third line might even be a bit long, but it really has the right concept.

There are so many network marketers that buy into this BS, yet we are surprised that 95% fail.

They do a quick search on google, see this little ad on the side, and get a nice tingly feeling in their stomach and bam before they know it another 300 bucks down the drain.

How many times does a person have to blow their money on some idiot (pardon my language) claiming to be the next network marketing god, before they realize hey no one is ever going to do all of my work for me. I might actually have to do something for myself.

I heard a quote that either Mike Dillard or Mark Weiser say once, and I think they even quoted it from somebody else, but I cannot remember the name, “You will continue to be unsuccessful as long as you rely on others to make you successful.”

I don’t know how many times a day I get the email “ Hey Landon how can I get up to six figures by the end of next year only putting in ten hours a week?”

I honestly do not want to offend anyone here. If this you and you can only devote ten hours a week to your network marketing business, then I apologize.

But look at me I am sitting here working my butt off every single day, and you want me to get you great results putting in less than half of the work?

I mean maybe I just don’t have the magic touch. Maybe I am the only one that has to work my butt of to get results. Maybe you don’t necessarily have to put in as much work to get the same return.

All I know is that if you are not willing to work as hard as I am working, do not expect to get what I am getting.

I honestly have no clue how to even reply to that email.

So I say the only thing that I can think of that might bring some quick results: go play the lottery.

As for the person making the ad promising the innocent network marketer that he can join up and he will not have any work to do, shame on you.

And shame on the innocent network marketer for believing him.

There is no magic success button.

I apologize for the aggressive tone, but the more I got to talking the angrier I got. I would like to hear some opinions on this article.

If you disagree you can tell me about it.

If you agree make sure you tell me about it.

That's My Partner

What's going on Landon. Thanks for showing me the BetterNetworker. I had never even heard of it until I checked my email just now. I still have to set up my profile. I guess i did not really even have to read through this article considering I hear you talk about this all day every day. But no Landon good stuff man, keep it coming

Great Stuff.

Hey landon. Good stuff hear, but something that you might have left out is the actual mindset of the people that we are sponsoring. Sometimes they come in with the mindset that we are going to do all of the work for them, when in reality we are only giving them a road map they still have to drive there.

No Problem Curt.

Ha ha I know i do over analyze this part of network marketing. I just do not understand the people that will only treat this as a weekend fling and expect to get rich within a matter of weeks. People drive me crazy, but thanks for the input keep me posted with your articles :)

Your Right Theresa

That is why you always need to be careful who you let on your team. Network marketers have the luxary of being able to pick exactly who we want on our team at all times. I do not know of too many other jobs that let you pick who you want to work with. Most people forget this fact, and just work with whoever. But thanks for the input, keep it coming!

Exactly

I think we all know what you mean Landon. We have all had downline that we expected to do great, but never did a dang thing. I think i actually just read an article that you wrote talking about that actually.

Excellent Point Landon

I completely agree with you. I think that we as marketers should create a filtering process. Something like an application of sorts. If the prospect fills it out and tells us what they want to accomplish then they qualify for us to talk on the phone with them. Actually CCPro has this and it works great.

You can't put in only 10 hours a week in this business until you perfect your system to a point that allows you to do so.

And even then, you probably would want to spend at least 3 or 4 hours a day just so you could do some good consistent marketing. It's like everyone wants to leverage but nobody wants to do anything to get there.

Oh well. A lot of us are transparent with what we do and tell people like it is. Those types of marketers are rising quickly in the industry and the better we get, the better our prospects become.

Allen You are Exactly Right

People don't mind sitting there and dreaming all day about getting that car, or buying that new big house, but when it comes time to get some work done.. well their favorite TV show is on.
