So How Can Going Back To Bed Get You Thinking...
Tuesday 17th May 2010
The Plan Ahead.....
I went to bed last night with the intention to set out some kind of agenda as to how I might inspire and motivate you (Marc’s Readers) though your journey to success with your online business, mlm, or what ever you might be flying with at the moment.
The Desision.....
I had already decided to plan writing time and keep my posts to you in as much real time as possible by writing in a diary format and going with my morning intuition. This is when all my ideas flow,(well a JD or two can do this trick as well! But I do my best to keep to the natural flow! And the JD to weekends!)

Always write it down........
I have a pen and paper beside the bed and as soon as I open my eyes I write, it could be online branding ideas, new mlm marketing concepts, network marketing tutorials, product ideas, you name it, it gets written down whist its fresh then evaluated at its designated time.
A learning curve worth sharing......
Hang on a minute I am going off point a bit, but this morning’s experience gave me a learning curve I would like to share with you.
The usual morning ritual.....
I am sure you have gathered by now I am just like most work at home mums. My mornings are just as imperfect as most others when piling the kids off to school, dealing with the usual morning rituals and the boys forgetting things just before they are about to walk out of the door, the irritating bickering about whose jumper is whose and he kicked me WAAAAAAAAAA!
Not letting the crap get in the way........
And if I am not up before the boys my own morning ideas ritual goes out of the window, it doesn’t happen often but when it does it’s like getting out of bed on the wrong side and the whole day gets turned upside down!
Well guess what it happened this morning. Harry woke the whole house up at 6am with a cry of despair, he had dribbled in his PJ’s, nothing to shout about but he was half asleep and distraught.
After dealing with Harry I proceeded to climb grumpily back into bed and spent the next hour getting pissed off with myself for not getting back to sleep, instead of setting my mind to the day ahead.
The Voices!!!!!
An hour’s less sleep wouldn’t hurt for one day, but I had convinced myself it would and there was a battle going on inside my head.
(Sleepy conscious)
"Drop the kids off; see if you still feel sleepy, go back to bed for an hour, you will be more productive when you wake up."
(Working conscious)
"NO NO NO, you have far too much to do, you need to think what to write, go for a run that will wake you up."
Listening to the right conscious........
Now as a rule when this happens I would listen to my working conscious, I would run or walk the dog, turn on the PC with an empty mind and get lost on the WWW.com and end up going off the day’s plan, get a wii bit work done and not be satisfied by my days efforts.
But today was different. I decided to go back to bed. Yes I let sleepy take over I set my alarm for 10am.
Taking a different approach......
I realised I would not normally be productive in this situation if I were to act on it as I would have in the past. I decided to take myself back to bed and start the day as if it hadn’t started yet!
The outcome.......
And here I am writing this entry! I didn’t sleep much when I went back to bed even though my eyes where wide shut. But what happened, is what happens most mornings, my subconscious spills out all its ideas into my conscious mind to enhance and bring to life the previous evenings planning for the day ahead.
I got out of bed fresh and ready for the day ahead, figured out I need a starting point for my posts to start helping you through your journey, remembered the inspirational wakeup call I had down loaded last week, that reminded me of when my own success started to come alive and how I could share this experience with you.
The Breakthrough......
I realised I had a personal breakthrough about not fighting myself into unproductiveness and discovered one of the most important times of the day for me, it’s surprising what we take for granted!
Today's lesson......
So I guess the lesson for today is recognise your unproductive triggers and the next time it happens try responding differently. And if there is an important part of the day for you, and you miss it, if you can; try reliving it! Go back to bed and get out on the right foot!
Well I had better get writing that post I was talking about! Whist I am in the zone!
Result!.......
Hay bonus two posts for the price of one just for going back to bed! Mmmmm I guess I’ll look forward to the next time I get rudely awaken!
Have an excellent and productive day,
Donna
