THE AVERAGE PERSON WOULD HAVE QUIT...

...AT THE FIRST FAILURE. THAT’S WHY THERE HAVE BEEN MANY AVERAGE MEN AND ONLY ONE EDISON.

Thomas Edison once observed that the reason most folks don’t recognize opportunity when it comes knocking is that it is often dressed in coveralls and looks like work. Edison knew that anything worthwhile never comes easily; if it were easy, anyone could do it. Because he persisted far beyond the point the average person would consider reasonable and rational, he produced inventions that even the most learned people of the day considered impossible. Great advances in knowledge are often achieved by people with an almost fanatical devotion to finding the solution to a problem. Flashes of inspiration alone are not enough to ensure success; they must be followed by determined, persistent action.

Success is hard work.

Hi Lyn, Jeff Olson said; successful people do, what other people are unwilling to do. Success there for is always hard work. If you want to get anywhere in life, you have to do something for it. Have you heard what tends to happen to people who win the lotery? A lot of them, burn through their money so quickly, that in only 5 years after they had their big winning, they end up broke.
If we do not really put in any effort in what we hope to gain, we seem not to appreciate it and therefore loose it even quicker.

Thanks for the thought Lyn, very inspiring. :-)

Finding the solution to a problem

Baby Steps

This reminds me of Persistance. It's like when a child is learning to walk, they know they are suppose to learn so for months they try and try and try. But after time and effort they learn to walk. So if we are persistant and pursue our goals and dreams we can achieve them! Great article Lyn.
