Revised: Why Do We Make Network Marketing So Difficult?

Network Marketing is not as difficult as it may seem or that we make it!  It's difficult because there are too many so-called experts who are anxious to tell you (or sell you) their newest and proven tecnniques for creating wealth. I do not include Mike Dillard or Mike Klingler in that group. But this belief is exactly the opposite of what you need to be thinking when you live a successful life and build a successful business.

You do not want to be like others, most of these people are a dime a dozen, but you do want to become a professional. This does not mean you mimic them instead of being your authentic self. You want to follow the suggestions of your upline and learn how to look and act like like a professional.

There will always someone telling you that they can make you rich with their system. They are tapping into your desire to have dreams come true by demanding more and more and more and more and more from life. This attitude is exactly the thing that will make you unsuccessful. 

With a mindset of becoming rich, owning things, doing things that rich people do, and lavishing yourself with things that money can buy, you may find wealth but you will likely not feel satisfied or complete. You will feel as if you are missing something very important in life, and you probably are!

When you build your business on relationships that have value, when you feel commaradery with people that have the same mindset, then whatever you achieve will be a blessing!  You will understand what it means to live a life with meaning and purpose, and you will know what it means to have gratitude for the things that money cannot buy, as well as what it can. Wealth and riches will mean something much different then and the place that money has will be in perspective with your values.

Yes, Attraction Marketing works, but what do you really want to attract to you. You become the person you associate with, and you become the person you think you are. That means you must have a clear understanding of who you want to be, what you honestly want in life that is NOT associated with income and wealth, and who you want in your life from today forward.

When I asked myself the same questions that I just asked you, I realized that I didn't like what I was pursuing and I didn't like the people I had in my life at the time. I recognized that what I was doing was not the life I wanted to live.

It took a major change in my thinking to become the person I wanted to become. I feel good about who I am now and of what I want in life now. I had been indoctrinated with the belief system I was taught by my associations and mentors. It was then that I was introduced to an organization that taught me how to live a better life, one with meaning and purpose, by developing the characteristics I needed to be happy when I succeed in business.

I have learned to be happy with what I have now and to only want that which is a blessing to me and the people with whom I associate. I want to help people have what they want by sharing what I know about succeeding in business and live a good life. I help people stretch to reach their dreams, but in terms than most leaders in Network Marketing do not teach any more. 

Network Marketing works because it taps into the dreams of people. They take these people's most precious desires and turn them into dollar signs for themselves. Unfortunately, sometimes people associate their dreams and precious desires of their hearts with thinking there is only one way to obtain them.  They think dreams are achieved by making more money - lots more money - when in fact, it isn't the money that fulfills dreams, it's developing a relationship with people that give them what they want and that give us what we want. 

It is a different way of thinking. If you still think the other way, then that means you need to break the chains that created this mistake in thinking. People who are truly happy in life and are wealthy became that way because of the type of life they created for themselves and their families.

Havet you noticed that some wealthy people will relate to you as if they were just like you; without paying attention to the financial differences? They relate to most everyone and care about most everyone. There is no pretense about them because what you see is who they are, and who they are is a good and likable person. Money has nothing to do with their relationships with you. In fact, I suspect that you think of being just like them when you become wealthy. 

Now the question is, if you think that money is the answer to your dreams, are you willing to think differently. Are you willing to develop relationships with people because of who they are and not because of your need to make money from them to fulfill your own dreams. People who think about what they want to obtain that's based on money will only focus on that desire. However, it will require a major shift in attitudes to think about another person's needs and what they want.  

In my Dale Carnegie Leadership training, I learned that we need to make people feel valued and important to us. When I discovered that simple concept and put it into practice, people around me began to respond to me more positively. I was amazed that it was so easy for me to change my thinking. All I had to do was go back to doing what I used to do before I became so consumed with my business goals and achieving what I wanted. My change in thinking drastically changed the relationships around me.
