Why I Choose Network Marketing Over A Job.
Most people have been programmed for a life of security. At least that's what they were always told.
People live in this bubble of fake ideas that having a job is security for life. Or, you go to school, study, get a job and live happily ever after.
Maybe in years gone by this was partly true. If you find a job nowadays, you should be lucky to get a half a year's contract and at the first signs of trouble they kick you out, back on the streets again.
The money you could earn in a regular job is also limited. Nowadays you should be happy you can get comfortably through the month.
So, if you want to earn a decent amount of money and be able to in time turn that into real wealth, you need to step away from fake security and take more risks. Getting paid on commission is one ways of taking more risks. A job, with a steady monthly wage that doesn't even allow you to save some money to buy stocks or so, isn't going to get you there.
The chances to earn big money rise when the risks rise. So you have to look at opportunities in such a way that you calculate and minimize the risks for yourself. Starting a Network Marketing business alongside your job is a good way to minimize the risks. You still receive the monthly paycheck, but you're putting time into your own business, building it little by little, until at some point your earnings with your Network Marketing business equal your job's salary. That's the time to let go of your old job.
Getting paid on results, rather than the hours you put in is more risky, but also more gratifying. You can see, purely by what you're earning, what you are worth. The better you work the more of a leader you are, the higher your earnings will become. That's why I choose a Network Marketing career over a job, because I want to be free in the biggest sense of the word.
If you want to be free and you are willing to take some calculated risk, you will need a totally different mind set as you needed before in your old job.
If you're thinking you might be stuck in an old thinking pattern, that doesn't allow you to really flourish in a MLM business, get professional help. Become part of a Mastermind group and learn as much as you can about the industry. Grow yourself!
As children we learned by modeling our parents. In MLM we learn by modeling the leaders. Don't you think that by thinking what and doing what successful people, you have a good chance to become successful too?
What is you reason for doing Network Marketing or MLM? Please leave your answer in a comment at the bottom of this article?

Great article Rutger!
In network marketing, your why is very essential because it will be your focus and it will be your driving factor to success. I actually made a video about this Rutger, a definite complement to what you have written. It is on http://www.miadavies.com/network-marketing-your-why/. Thanks for the inspiration, I'd want to share the video too to you as well as the others.

My reasons for doing network marketing...
Thanks for asking for a comment, Rutger. To answer your question in your PM, here are my reasons for doing MLM:
I want to be able to have the freedom to travel to visit my family more often instead of being tied to my office. As a solo medical practitioner, if I don't work for even a week, I lose a lot of income. So I haven't been able to see my family (who live in Canada and Hong Kong) at most once or twice a year. My niece and nephew are growing up quickly and I feel like I'm missing a greater part of their happy young lives.
Having "burnt" out in my thirties from job and relationship stress, I choose not to work those 60 hours a week that many doctors still do. I'm so much happier now that I work in the office only three days a week.
My other reason for pursuing network marketing is to create the financial freedom to train as much as I want to in figure skating. As an adult that began skating at almost 30 years of age, I'm fortunate to be able to train 3-4 days a week and have won several gold medals in singles and in pairs. I'd love to have the funds to travel and skate in the most beautiful ice rinks in the world.
Thanks again for the "connection"

There are so many wonderful things about being in the right MLM for you. I have found the one that suits my needs and beliefs, not to say other's are bad. But feeling great about the one your in, and the people who help you, and the company you represent. I have all of that now.
I use to cut hair, and massage. Now I can work from how, and spend more time traveling with my family and friends. Life doesn't get any better. Plus the better I work at building my relationships the better I feel, and my pay out is greater.
