Why Trying to Sell Does Not Work in Internet Marketing - John Bates

Many people get into the Internet Marketing game and are frustrated when they’re not able to sell anything or get sign-ups right away. Looking at a lot of their marketing, its not difficult to see why: Emails in all caps locks SCREAMING about the latest “Get Rich Quick” business opportunity, blogs that are all banners and links, and sloppy ads with misspellings and grammar errors do not exactly inspire buyer confidence, nor do they reflect well on the advertiser. It’s actually advertising that they are unprofessional and desperate.
Going into Internet Marketing with the mindset “I want to make lots of money in as little time possible” will inevitably lead to disappointment. People can smell a sales pitch a mile away and will run from them, especially coming from people that they don’t even know. Instead, take the mindset that is always asking “How can I provide the most value to the largest amount of people in as little time possible.” Everyone wants to make a lot of money, but let that be a goal and not your purpose. Napoleon Hill once said “The fastest way to get what you want is to help people get what they want.” and nothing could be more true in Internet Marketing.
If you’d like to find success as an Internet Marketer, stop asking people to buy something from you and instead figure out what you can give to them. Once you can help people increase their value, you will begin to increase your own value, and you will have loyal friends and customers seeking you out, and you don’t even have to try to sell a thing… Learn how to duplicate this on a massive scale, and you can generate wealth beyond what you ever thought possible.
