MLM Success Secret Buried In Fight Movie
Have you seen the movie “Never Back Down”?
It’s a couple years old, but I hadn’t watched it until recently.
It’s a fight movie, and this was the unrated version.
When the director came on in the beginning and let us viewers know that he threw in more bone crushing sounds, and more punches for our enjoyment…
Honestly I almost got up and found something else to do.
I stuck around though and found a wonderful nugget of information in it.
Funny that I was just listening to the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Network Marketers“ a couple hours before that and this same lesson was brought up there.
What Do You Want?
Generally it doesn’t take long for a whole list to come to mind when you hear that question.
Here’s something that we need to remember though.
Sometimes we have to do things we don’t want to do, in order to get the things we want to get.
Now I’m not talking about anything illegal or immoral here so let me give you a quick example.
You want to be healthy. When you get sick (if you’re like me) you don’t WANT to go to the Dr. However, you DO go because you don’t want to be sick.
In order to get what you want (feeling good again), you have to do something you don’t want (go to the Doc).
You do it because you know you have to
Isn’t that the way it is in Network Marketing? I mean there are so many things I don’t FEEL like doing when I know they need to be done. However, I want the end result, so with that in mind I DO it anyway.
The thing here is that it’s all up to you. You’re not going to get paid for “Busy Work”. You’re going to get paid when you do money making activities. You don’t feel like making the calls? Make them anyway or miss out.
It’s not about what you FEEL like doing. It’s about what needs to be done. “But I don’t want to…” “But I don’t feel like it…” Quit whining and making excuses, and just get it done.
Movie Quote From “Never Back Down”
I loved this quote because it’s exactly right with almost anything in life, but especially true where network marketing is concerned.
Listen carefully, read this carefully.
“Whatever happens, you control the outcome.”
This can be taken one of two ways, and both apply well.
1. Whatever happens, YOU control the outcome. It’s up to you. Don’t leave it up to anyone else, and certainly don’t blame anyone else. There are no excuses, it’s on you.
2. Whatever happens, you CONTROL the outcome. Stay in control of the situation. Don’t let what’s happening in your life control your success. ACT, don’t REact. You take the actions that you need to take, instead of simply reacting to everything around you. You control your life, your work, your actions…
So what do you think? Have anything you’d like to add? Do you agree? Disagree?
Leave a comment, and don’t forget to share it using one of the buttons at the top of this post.
All the Best,
